Firestorm Combos Thread

Trying to find optimal midscreen damage with lvl 3 trait

This is the most dmg i found so far, the F133 at the end is a bit tricky. Gotta land the J3 as close to the ground as possible.

The F133 can be changed for B1 for easier link but less damage of course.

EDIT: Also just found that you can end in molten trap instead of the BF3 for restand
If you still have trait at that point you get a dash in 50/50


Notation:

B2- B2 - B1 - MB BD2 - B3 - J3 - F113 - BF3
B12- B2 - B1 - MB BD2 - B3 - J3 - F113 - BF3
113- B2 - B1 - MB BD2 - B3 - J3 - F113 - BF3

Im getting less damage for some of these lvl 3 trait and normal combos against batman.
I have competitive mode on and combo damage seems to change.

nevermind I found the solution. you get less damage from trait the more it drains
It's different depending on the character.

Not sure if these were found but I I found some corner combos with lvl3 trait. They have less meter build but average 15-30 points or more damage per combo that I have found so far and their execution is easier.

 
In the corner from what I have seen it seems that after a F3 most people do stand 3 - db3.
However the 3 before the blast makes the combo scale more than if you connect raw airblast straight after the F3.
It also makes juggling afterwards easier and you can go for an easy combo that averages 25 - 35 more dmg than the BnBs:

(mb) f3 - db3 - 22 - db3 - f133 - ender (bdb2 , bf3)

or

b1 - bdb2mb - f3 - db3 - 22 - db3 - f133 - ender (bdb2 , bf3)


Currently at work so can't record, but the combos are quite easy to land and i feel like 30 additional dmg is definitely worth it.

It is possible to do even more dmg but the execution is strict, involves a standing 2 after the f3.

After 2 B2s and B12- B2 You can connect a F213xxMbTrap instead of B1. I think it's far trap but can't quite remember atm and can't test cause I'm on the way to work. Then after trap do B3- F213xxBF3, no jump in

I do f3, burst, 22, burst, 22xxtrapMB, j2, f213xxbf3

I've tried everything and I like this the best. Does a ton of damage too.

Edit: I modified a few of your combos to add in a 2,2 before the MB Molten Trap. It adds about 5 points of damage to each combo. These are super, super damaging and actually fairly easy to do. Thanks again for the contribution!

The MB B3 combo with F133 in it is slightly harder. You need to hit them at the peak of the jump.
I use the B1 when I am not sure if the jump in connected at the proper height.

Inputs:

MB B3 - JI2 - F2 - DB3 - F133 - BD2 (BF3) - 472,39
MB B3 - JI2 - F2 - DB3 - B1 - BD2 (BF3) - 443,41

2 bars:
MB B3 - JI2 - F2 - DB3 - F133 - MB BD2 - Ji2 - F133 BF3 (BD2) - 568,59
MB B3 - JI2 - F2 - DB3 - B1 - MB BD2 - Ji2 - F133 BF3 (BD2) - 550,00

Ji3 - B1 - MB BD2 - F3 - slight walk forward - F2 - F133 BD2 (BF3) - 468,35
Ji3 - B1 - MB BD2 - B3 - dash - DB3 - F133 BD2 (BF3) - 462,41

Glad you like them.

They deal slightly more damage, but the corner carry is significant.

Here are some of the classic strings into molten into the stuff i posted above.
There doesn't seem to be enough gravity to link F133 at the end if you start with f213.
But who does that anyway? :)

 
Not sure if this has been posted yet.

Here is something i found because of an input error today. Tried to do d1 bf3 after the blast in the corner but i didn't get the cancel.

Turns out after the d1, you can do standing 3 and special cancel that. Makes for way easier links imo.
You can connect other normals too but i found the stand 3 to be the most consistent.


Nothing ground breaking, but i found it interesting enough to share :)

Found some corner side switch combos that do 30-40 points of more damage than the b3 dash under S3 burst. Plus they leave u directly on top of your opponent. All u have to do is be mindful of how far the corner is to behind you. The last combo is universal for all starts.

I cannot for the life of me connect these. Are most of you guys nailing these consistently? I'm just wondering if the effort is worth it for the damage. I've still been using:

MB B+3, dash, 3(first hit only)xxAB, 1,1, F+1,3,3xxFC - 480.31

I know the corner carry is superior on those, but man....I'm dropping them constantly.
 
I actually get them consistently.

Played offline with a mate yesterday and was taking notes as I saw your reply.
I hardly ever dropped it when i went for it.

Just hold up forward as soon as u B3, hit the j2 as you start to fall down during your jump and buffer the F21 while still in air.
The key here is, after the J2 during the F21 they have to be "above your head".

I will just put this here so you can take a look at my inputs: (yes i use the shortcuts :) )


I also did it on black canary which has prolly the smallest hurtbox.

Also at around 18sec (3rd combo) I got a funky bounce and was still able to land it.
If you get a funky bounce when going for the B3 dash under you are screwed, as you can see this works fine.

Nice video man, I haven’t seen most of that before. It was more like a demo because a lot of it isn’t viable in a real match. Still fun to see though.
