Im not saying that because he is a naturally good capcom commentator that he would be good at injustice too. Im saying I heard him commentate injustice and he was better than most people that ever take a mic and he knows a lot more about the game than you think.

Tom was the better choice regardless
Yes, he maybe knows more about IGAU that I think but I'm sure there are more people from this community that know more than him and have the same ability to commentate and bring more hype than him, I can name REO or 16bit from the top of my head but I think there are more. The point I would like to make is that we should ask for people from this community, to get more exposure not just from players you know; Capcom guys have Ultradavid and James Chen, and many other faces like Mike Ross and Gootecks, etc. I think developing that kind of personalities from this community would benefit all, instead of bringing those from other communities. Btw, I was thinking about it and yes it isn't enoguh or a neccesity to have high level players to commentate, but I do think if a commentator has that expertise along with other qualities like eloquence, enthusiasm, etc. then it would just improve his performance. Now about Tom, there is no stream I didn't enjoy with him on the mic, but those call outs and always talking about his haters, well, I don't think fit right; it's funny though and I don't have a problem to hear it at locals, or before top 8, but at a major? I would have prefer MLG Tom for FR top 8 to be honest.

I do understand what youre saying but just cause you named them, reo and 16 bit were in top 8 so that's why they couldnt. The only issue im having is people are freaking out about this and people just need to chill out cause even if david did commentate, it would of been fine and no one would complain

It would have been fine, but could be better if we have in the future someone else than Ultradavid. I understand what you're saying about REO and 16bit being in top8, but again there are others.

I said player that played at the highest level, and I think I should be more clear; what I mean by that is a person that compites in tournaments so he knows how is the highest level competition, not necessarily that he places top 8 or anything like that. Again, Ultradavid maybe knows Imjustice, but he don't know the IGAU competition, plus I would like to see more exposure of members from this community, we have commentator talent here you know, let the Capcom guys have Ultradavid while we support people from this community. Oh, and I didn't say that if you didn't place high you can't commentate, is not about place but about knowledge and game experience, obviously how do you speech and articulate is important..

Rico has done a crap ton of competing at locals and majors but he may not know more than, say, Gamerblake, whom barely competes offline at all. Why would you plug in Rico simply because he may know what a Tom Brady likes to do in tournament but may not know much about a Shazam? Also, what is "don't know the IGAU competition"? I don't understand this line.

I mean he doesn't compete at tournaments. I already explain it in a previous post but I will quote it here: "I was thinking about it and yes it isn't enough or a neccesity to have high level players to commentate, but I do think if a commentator has that expertise along with other qualities like eloquence, enthusiasm, etc. then it would just improve his performance."

But David does have all those qualifications. He really likes Injustice and knows a lot about it and has a ton of experience commentating. What more do you want from a commentator?

Hype. I'm not sure about Ultradavid knowing "a lot" about IGAU, I don't think so. And even if Ultradavid has all what you say I think people from this community had it also, and I think people like Reo and 16bit had it way more than Ultradavid.

No, Ultradavid doesn't even play the game, at least competitively. Plus I bet he hasn't the proper knowledge to commentate an Injustice TOP 8, DMS and Brady sure do. DMS and Brady are part of the IGAU community, Ultradavid? I don't think so.
to be clear, i watch the game a lot and i play the game a lot, just casually and usually online with my secret account so i don't get accosted with messages heh. i don't compete but i don't compete in any game for reasons that have nothing to do with game knowledge or mental acuity. by the way what should i do to become part of the injustice community other than play and watch, should i make unnecessary call outs, disrespect other scenes in other areas for no reason and despite those scenes' successes, write grandiose posts and argue on the net like i did ten years ago, talk up my skills and then get dunked in real matches, create needless internet strife to stroke my ego but be cool in person? cause if so, i think i just did

anyways of course tom brady knows the game way better than i do, i make zero claims to the contrary lol. and dms is definitely way more on top of the goings-on and placings and beefs among the top players than i am too. they wanted to do commentary and asked me if i was cool with that and i said no prob, i was already set to do a top 8 for another game after all and didn't want to hog the mic.

i had to commentate sf4 all saturday and learn the new sf4 character while injustice top 8 was happening, so i got to see almost none of the tournament. just got home and looking forward to catching up on the archives.

I consider you a great comentator, not as hype as others I saw, but great enough, if you read all my posts you will notice that the point I was trying to make is that there are people with more knowledge and experience about the game that I think should be taking into account first than calling people that are more known in other communities than in this one. I never said you're not part from this community, I'm sure you are more than me, but obviously there are people more involved than you. Btw, I don't know why you mention: "should i make unnecessary call outs, disrespect other scenes in other areas for no reason and despite those scenes' successes, write grandiose posts and argue on the net like i did ten years ago, talk up my skills and then get dunked in real matches, create needless internet strife to stroke my ego but be cool in person?" I never say that, I think you are the one implying it, I don't know why.

Again, I never said you claimed to know more than Tom, I don't knw why you bring that into account. I'm glad you concede your role to dms, that show a lot from you, and I definitely respect that, I know me saying you're not so hype may offend you butplease don't take it as a personal attack it is my preference and I didn't aim to insult you. Hope you understand this is nothing personal against you, just an attemp to support people more involved with the IGAU community.
