F122 is possibly Errons best string. Due to the push back, it is at this moment impossible for any character to punish him on block; and depending on their reversal you can actually punish them on block!

Interesting he's much older than I thought if he was able to witness Kotal Khans rule then he would have been alive at least durring the 1500s. considering cartridge revolvers were invited in 1856 he would have had to leave sometime after then.

Apparently the last time Kotal visited earth before the MKX comic is in the 1800s. Erron was given immortality as a favor by Shang Tsung or somethin'.

not sure how useful this is but you can combo off 11xxgun cancel and 11b3 gun cancel. maybe for midscreen punishes?

For a newcomer like me, no. I don't want to sweat my ass off trying to learn a character, only to find out they're mediocre. A mediocre character combined with mediocre skills doesn't yield good results, that's why I ask, as I just want to learn a character that's confirmed to be good/very good, and then later try to learn a few mores that are just for fun

What is some of your guys' game plans on opening people up in marksman? A lot of gun cancels? Anybody try and stagger their opponent at all? Before anyone jumps on me i'd just like to say that i'm trying to find a go to strategy with him on opening people up close. I feel like I get out beat a lot when playing people, I just feel like they're faster up close. I've tried using 11, or 12 which does work but half of the time I can never get it out due to online and the ps4 pad is complete garbo.

I dunno, i'm pretty frustrated as of right now and my thumbs are completely fucking sore due to this shit d-pad. This character is hella fun but seems super risky. Maybe I just need to use gun cancel a lot more. If anyone has any tips it would be appreciated. Sorry if I seem to be bitching at all, i'm just super frustrated with the ps4 pad and not being consistent on certain things with this character/online being pretty booty.

I try and score a knockdown into a 50/50 while pushing them into the corner. A great pressure string is 21122 because it's 8f, has good range and tick throws in 3 places so the opponent has to guess every time you throw that string out there.

I also like to use D3 xx Sand Trap for a tick throw on hit/block.

D4 on hit jails into 21122. It also gives you a free 50/50 however the opponent can armour or backdash (F13 can catch the backdash).

I also like to throw out EX Sand Trap & EX Slide every now and then.

Every time I see the opponent run/dash towards me I throw out D4. On block it's -2, on hit it's +22, and it has decent recovery.

TL;DR: Knockdown into 50/50.

trip guard with f13. Keep it safe with f132 if needed otherwise go for combo. F22 in outlaw/f24 in the rest are great for safe pressure. Also pokes/strings into tackle or armoured slide. Once they're knocked down the guessing game is in your favour.

In outlaw I start with f211 or f21 in to sand trap. The f21 has crazy range and catch back dash

Those aren't all of his intros, there were a few I've noticed while doing bot matches to test brutalities. He has another against Jax, Raiden, Kenshi and Ermac at least.

Thanks for the reply guys. I think I have a better idea of what to do. I feel like he's a pretty good whiff punisher. Up close with his 211 into command grab is pretty good. So is the d3 into command grab. I just wish this damn dpad didn't suck so much. The struggle is real.
