Against Spawn v3, if he command grabs you and goes for the amp'd command grab that makes him invisible, just roll back and pop out a strep. The bug will tell you where spawn is.

Is it normal for her F13>DF2 after amplified Widow's Kiss to not work on Kotal??
Just do j1, land, f13 xx df2. I don't think f13 xx df2 is supposed to work after amp widow's kiss since their body is too high. You can do 2,1 xx df2 as well but lower damage not worth it IMO.
OR you can do db1 dash d2 which does 2% less damage than j1 f13 xx df2 and makes them eat the whole thing instead of allowing a breakaway.
The highest damage however, IIRC, is db1 j2 f13 df2 but the timing is tight on the j2 after puddle.

I had trouble picturing how that misses a huge body like Kotal, it didn't even pop into my mind you might not be jump-attacking first.

J1 if you db1 puddle him to be optimal, j2 if you just want an easy execution, j3 if they're in the corner.

Can you guys help me with kustom variation for D'Vorah? I went with Deadly Swarm (for that KB), Flippin'Out and Parasite. But i am not 100% sure about Parasite. I barely used these strings in the past, but all 3 have KBs tied to them. 2 out of 3 are not easy to get in online match tho.
Would Strepsiptera be better choice instead of Parasite?

If you aren't getting use out of the parasite strings, you definitely want strep. See, Strepsiptera and Deadly swarm are one of the best combinations D'vorah has. Every single bug from strep adds one with Deadly Swarm, so one throw combo will load up 3-4 of them for a KB. You can just delete lifebars like it's nobody's business.

121+3KB punish is nice but you'll definitely get more damage with the bug. The other 2 strings are trash imo.

I was just thinking about what would my custom variation for D'Vorah be if they make them legal for ranked and I think I'd stay with Arachnophobia tbh. Jailing into 21 from D3 or DB4 is not that hard and the fact that you can get a combo from it is amazing. Can't zone her either. If they add another slot, Arachnophobia + Strepsiptera would be perfect.

Widow's Kiss and Strep together are also pretty amazing. It offers unique setup opportunities that are unbreakable. You can do [starter] db3 amp, dash up df3, d2 and that nets you 240 unbreakable damage with strep hitting meaty. You can play with different enders and spacings of where you place strep to change things up. If you end in b4, you get an untechable throw combo right as they stand up. You can end in f1~db1 to punish u3's, while strep is already covering u2's, wakeup buttons, etc.

They just work very well together.
 
Widow + Parasite to have a 7f punish KB
Widow + Strep to have traps and safety (though meter-hungry)

Widow is just too useful to not have. So no fun stuff like Fly here!

I guess i'll just stick to Arachnophobia. But i feel like i am becoming way too predictable after few matches and sometimes i am having hard time punishing zoning.

12 can combo. Instantly opens up punishing power in every matchup due to 21 being too slow.

As for her armor break, I have a strong feeling it's going to be her Swarm if it's a special or something random like her S3 if a normal.

S3 is what I'm hoping for actually. Letting it break armor and attaching a KB or a launch would be amazing, but the important thing is that I still get a setup in buzzed even if I'm wrong and they don't break.

Also, is D'vorah really the only character that can't combo off her s1 at all? I never realized the inequity of that. It's not even just the weak punishes. With how much this game is based around micro duck s1, it's a really serious weakness to only get 10% and a knockdown off of it.

Not sure if the only one but my Kabal 7f S1 gives me 23% metreless, 30% with 1 bar and 33% (!) with 1 bar versus big bodies. Doesn't seem fair.
 
I want her 12 to be able to punish something, but not a full regular combo's worth. Her s1 is 7f and reaches the farthest in the game already, I don't want to give reason to mess with that (or remove reasons to use her 21).

There has to be a middle-ground between our current 100-ish dmg 7f punish and our regular combos... so I'd make 12 xx amped Swarm hit for 200+ dmg, so we have the option (but Parasite punish KB is still an upgrade, and oh yeah, Arachno shouldn't put all bugs on them with it any more).
