those patchnotes are confusing, so does this mean that broly will no longer be able to get 2 dragon rush's in his corner combo'?
He could only do that with certain assists before kinda like his non optimal TOD. Charaters like Yamcha, Tien, Cooler, beam characters, Vegita ect could get him to 2 DR's.

Have never seen it in a match but in practice mode yeah. 7 bars, sparkling and great exicution and I still can't do it.

Also they still won't address the online problems. Truly. I love Namco games but they just aren't playable online and that's were people play games.

Seriously... I know how they feel about online and change as well as the player base on who they market too but I won't sit through 10 matches of 2-10+ in-game counts of delay and call that shit lit.

I'm kinda glad I went back to I2. I got boring gamepaly and over the top mechanics to deal with but I'll take that over the shitty online and random drops in and out of matches and the lobby.

Lost cause.

my issue is that it takes a while to find people online, nrs games happen lickety split. i wish they didnt have that stupid hub.

Your mothers main.
Played about 8 games online in quick match and it was god fucking awful. They made it even worse not being able to see who you are playing in quick match, that's probably a old change though.

And the Broly movie was 4\10.

Only came in to see if the update includes a fixed netcode....nope. Starting to think these Japanese companies dont know shit about good netcode or maybe its just Bamco.

To be honest I like the hub. It's OD! It fits Dragonball to a T. Really interesting and innovative but I agree with you too. I tend to think they put that much effort to make it look awesome but you still can't challenge others in different modes directly. Only through the UI menu and the options for selecting your online settings are a complete joke. Especially when it comes to online matches and regions.

Then when you think "ok shits good now" you get kicked out the match. Or random disconnects. Kicked out the lobby or your (and this is the best) your Instant Transmissioned to the main menu.

Seriously. All that effort to make the lobby look fantastic and the online is still unstable "86" Chernobyl reactors.

Nah dawg. Historically they don't really want to change to GGPO. That delay based system is what most are used too and what they unfortunately believe in for the most part. There are exceptions like T7 and a few others but I'm done with Namco games unless the online is similar to KI or NRS. I'm not going anywhere near it.

Not wasting any more bank notes and my precious time on games that don't have exactly what I want in 2019 brah.

Honestly thinking of going that route too sadly. In FGs Bamco dominated last year with so many titles that were hot, including Tekken, DBFZ, and SC6 BUT they all have one thing in common....their online experiences are bad! I have all three games and losing faith in this company to buy anything else until i see improvement in their online.

The communities need be more adamant about demanding rollback netcode.

Its ok to like a game but still recognize that in 2019+ rollback is the golden standard and pure lag based netcode is a cop out.

Haven’t had a chance to lab yet. What’re the headlines?
in a nutshell, changed meter build, I think Spark got buffed,

nerfed double level 1's (so Goku is indirectly nerfed becauseit might not be worth doing his 2 super bnb)

guard cancel is a LEGIT defense mechanic now. Blockstrings have to change. IMO this is a good thing. Gohan can't lock you down for 30 seconds, there are more mind games involved. You can bait guard cancels etc. This makes the snap meta even stronger because after snapping you have 8 seconds to go HAM and mix their shit while their assists are locked out

Is it just invincibility that changed usefulness? It’s still punishable and can’t be combo’d from anymore right?

utility changed. For the most part when it hits, its a safe option to reset neutral. The mind games come from offense. S2 I believe will be the snap back / mix meta coupled with stagger offense. Chars with great staggers (Gohan, Bardock ...) can create large enough gaps to bait a GC or raw tag and bitch slap you for trying.

Also, you can just let GCs rock. Your opponent will run out of meter eventually.

Cell will be a monster for this and IMO will put him back in the upper echelon (he never fell that far anyway), especially if he uses gotenks or vegeta. Perfect attack is invincible to OH air attacks. You can block string, react, PA into vegeta assist or donut and snapback meterlessly. Now they are locked out of all assists for 8 seconds and you have to deal with fucking Cell in the corner with all his bullshit. Additionally, I think Videl will also be extremely useful for this as she's probably one of the best snap back chars in the game (could be talking out of my ass but it seems so to me)

read Nakkiel's twitter thread about it, he goes into some pretty decent detail of the pros and cons of the new patch

im still keeping my team, might try some new ones tho.

also, from what i see, midscreen GC's are still going to be very risky bescause they have way more travel time than if they do it in the corner.

Mostly related to corner GC bc that’s where my chars usually take their opponents. My team all have meterless snap back and at least 2/3 of them can react and have an answer for guard cancel during pressure.
