Sonic was never unbeatable. Over time Sonic has lost to Scar, Dragon, Semij, Tweedy, HoneyBee, King, etc.

The thing that keeps Sonic on top isn’t winning every event, but figuring out how to bounce back from the losses and adjust to win again. And that’s something that’s been consistent for 4-5 games now.

Sonic did not win either EVO for INJUSTICE 2, or the ELEAGUE Injustice 2 world championship. He also didn't make grand finals in any of those events (and placed 5th at two of them).

So "never looked as vulnerable" is a real stretch after winning ECT and placing 2nd at an insanely stacked CB. This is the same narrative that pops up each time and it's never been true.

Combo Breaker was pretty damn awesome. I saw a ton of names throughout the ages there from Zen Furbe, HruzaDaBruza, dizzy and NRS crew, SOUP (felt great to play mk9 with him, cossner and I want to set something more official for Evo up), and many more. I said most of my thoughts about the players on comms but damn did they show up. Keep a sharp eye on Bandinoz!

And man did my brain almost break on comms when the Knippz thing happened. Surreal fuckery. That plus the power outage. All that considered it ran smooth as heck schedule wise, shame we missed 2 I think for top 8 Saturday night. Including what was it sonic over grr 3-2? I'd have to look back
