My wish would be.The almighty, omnipotent, the all powerful Shao Kahn!!! First and foremost. The supreme and true Emperor of Outworld who's divine absoluteness of his rule & power strikes fear and sheer terrior in the series. There's not many bosses who have lore like the emperor himself.
We pretty much can be certain that the original cast of MKI & MKII are in aswell. I know most of us want a Trilogy but maybe. Maybe we'll get something closer to it. Here's my wish list. If it was a Trilogy type game.
Baraka. He's the most interesting character from MKII and his race is a intriguing & important part of the lore that is Mortal Kombat.
Shang Tsung. The Original sorcerer and antagonist of the series. Look. We want him back K.
Jade. She too is intriguing and her story is just too important to leave out in the next MK.
Noob Saibot. Nuff said.
Ashrah. Besides her beautiful rich name she has one of most interesting stories in the lore of mortal Kombat. Redemption. Pure and simple. Where everyone seeks fame, immortality, destruction, chaos dictatorship and godhood. She just seeks for a way out of her damnation. If not at playable which I hope for at least a cameo please. She was pretty damn good in MKD.
Kotal Kahn. 2 Kahn's head to head for Outworld. My money is on Shao Kahn.
Erron Black. Yung Eastwood is definitely coming back in someway shape or form. Especially player wise since he's a more upgraded version of Stryker.
Nightwolf. Dawg. The man is a badass. Always has been a solid character with a solid story since MKIII having him not in MKX was a a good move. The character would've been ruined.
Kenshi. Him and Takeda... Takahashi are in it. I can't see them not in the next MK game.
Sheeva. From what they did to revitalize her in the comics and how she turned boss. She needs to be in the next MK game.
Rain. I feel he's always had a raw deal lore wise. Fleshing his background out would do wonders for him and who he affects in the canonical story.
Kabal. With what happened to Kano in mkx we should be seeing him in the next game for sure.
Curtis Stryker. I presume freed by special forces and is playing a role like Jax in retirement but we can still hopefully play him in game.
Frost. The frosty ninja needs another chance to be in the games. Different movesets to set her apart from Sub-Zero and a more darker and chilling story line to help keep this character in the mainstream of the games and lore. It's been years since we've played frost. Nrs we're due.
Lei Mei. She was pivotal in the later MK games. Maybe more so then most know. To have her finally included into the game would be great and would be nice to have her in the game besides a cameo role.
Mavado. The black dragon needs a palte swap I guess.
Nitara. Her story was given so much attention in one game but was never explored again. There are tons of people who want her back in. Including me besides that a side story or a new introduction would be great to the vampire of Kombat.
Fujin. Listen. The earth needs a true guardian. And I want the mythologies costume with the cape and head band too.
Sareena with Kia & Jataaka. Maybe the same way has triborg. They need to stop teasing us with her especially since Master Quan is deadish.
Jarek. New moves like in Armageddon but better this time. Seems more important lore wise now too since he appears to be a second in command of the clan. Kria too. She's hasn't been playable in ages.
Kai. He been MIA for far too long. He should be the alternative hope for Earth realm along with Kung Lao, Kung Jin &and a revitalized Liu Kang.
Cassie Cage. Sonya 2.0 is all gown up now. Her along with Jacqueline Briggs are gonna in the game for sure.
Reiko. He was shrouded in mystery forever. Until Armageddon when his story was given some life but it really took off in the comics that was released with MKX. This by far is his strongest reason to have him in the next MK game in some capacity besides just a mention of him I'm the games. Another character that for some reason was given a raw deal but still had a staring role to play in the canonical story line if they choose to follow this route. As a playable character he was always interesting but lacked more originality.
Tayna. Have her back but not with the b.s. player wise.
Tremor. Same as Tayna.
D'Vorah. The character is interesting. Kinda like what they did with Nitara in MKDA but went ham on her back story, playstyles, character and the way she interacted in the new storyline. She's super developed and has alot more depth to her. Having her not in the next game would be a crime.
The realm of Order. Just have Hotaru, Dairou and Darrius in the game finally. Better moves and a better story then a episode of law and order.
Havik. The cleric of Chaos. If you know your MK history. If you've read the comic that detailed his plan and manipulation of Reiko and a ton of others and all his non canonical endings you can see he's is literally one of a kind. Quite unique both has a playable character and in the lore. He should and I hope he's in the next game.
Smoke. There's so much more to smoke lots of people hypothesize and know. If he was just in the game I would be happy along with Cyrax and Sektor. It would be awesome if they did it just like in UMK3 or MK9 where we could play as both robotic & human form. Individual characters. No triborg nonsense.
Quan chi. He and shinnok ain't dead infact we'll see them in the next game. Especially Quan Chi
Sindel. She's always been a huge part of the earlier MK titles but was kind of brought in quickly and left just as quick has she came in the later games. She's there's a lot to her more then being just there. Game play wise she's needs a come back just as good as in MKD and MK9.
Last but definitely not least.
KANO!!! Nuff. Said. And his son that they teased about. Kano's son would be HYPE!!!
There's others like Deagon, Shujinko, Taven & Onaga who are meh. If there in then yay for those who want them.
