This man speaks the truth. I did this on a cornered opponent [f1b2>exsunray] and the ray comes out either right on top of the opponent or between the both of you(which is the best spot). I was in sun god when i did this so i blocked the wakeup and did b1 sgc tic throw, if it works you do the full animation under the ray meaning you gain a decent chunk of life and do a good bit of bonus damage on the opponent. Dont underestimate the power of a solar buffed regular throw either.Better to use f1b2-sunray
The sun ray does strange things to opponents though, it doesnt do an assload of damage but the enemy usually is immediately desperate to get out if they are under it. Also a tangential note, f1b2 sunray neutral into a d4 poke after wakeup usually puts the enemy right into the sunray. In fact i use d4 alot to just badger the enemy into the sunray to get them desperate.
