If you don't have meter / trait up, how should you be whiff punishing in neutral? Just B1 xx BF2 for the knockdown? I'm trying to understand what her general gameplan is, especially in footsies.

When I have lvl 2 Canary Cry, I just run the st.2 50/50 and use the trait to make it safe on block or combo on hit. I actually don't think it's good to go for a 50/50 without it tbh, because if you guess wrong you punished.

21-> DB2MB only combos in the corner or vs the big guys (Swamp thing, Venom, Darkseid, Grodd, Atrocitus) in mid screen.

It probably does the most damage for only 1 bar and lvl 3 trait though.
Holy Krap... Venom is in this game? Konfirmed DLC???

Not sure if it's been mentioned already but in the corner if you start any bnb with level 2 cry you can actually prolong the combo long enough to get a level 1 cry mid combo for extra meterless damage or just as an extension regardless.

For example

Starter xx Level 2 cry, nj2, 2u3, 2u3, 21 xx Level 1 cry 113, for hkd

For 1 bar starter xx Level 2 cry, nj2, 2u3, 2u3, 21 xx Level 1 cry, 21 xx bf2mb, 33 xx df3 for the nj2 crossup setup or instead of 33 you can do 113 for a hkd.

Also forgot to mention the 33 xx df3 nj2 setup reverses wakeups if you do it right aha

Also trying to find a more consistent convert but she can use Level 1 cry to float midscreen from 2u3.

Still testing stuff but at the moment i'm getting 2u3, 33 xx Level 1 cry, f1 xx bf2mb d3 which leaves you at perfect spacing for ambigous canary drop 50/50 with regular and close drop respectively.

So I think it's just essentially for maximising punishes or closing out rounds.

For 1 bar and level 3 you can get stuff like

Starter xx Level 3 Cry, dash, ji2, f13 xx bf2mb, nj2, 2u3, 33 xx Level 1 cry, f1 xx bf2. Ender isn't optimal but it's extremely high damage and has a ton of corner carry.

In the corner from Level 3

Starter xx Level 3 Cry, nj2, 21 xx bf2mb, 2u3, 2u3, 21 xx Level 1 cry, 113 for a hkd.

Press Square than tap L1 at the stage select screen, Its not just gear, your character is much higher level than the dummy :)

The combo itself though is very viable, I'd suggest using 113 as it keeps them in the corner and is +35 instead of the +25 your using in 1121+3

ahh ok sorry, Im mostly just trying to get better with pressure starting to use below level 3 cry in combos

Yeah, I noticed that. At least it can still land on a lot of opponents that don't know the first db2 crosses up.

Im also not very knowledgeable on frame date injustice is pretty much my only fighting game

I don't know how optimal this is, but I've found high damage and great success with this one:

21->MB DB2, B3, J3, 33->lvl 3 Trait, DF3, 33

It ranges around 600 damage for 1 bar and level 3 trait, and you can cancel the 33 into a DB2 which crossup the opponent. That combo goes:

MB DB2, B3, J3, 33->BF2

For around 500 damage (in other words an entire lifebar for two bar, trait combo).
Those dmgs are wayyyyy off.

just in case you didn't know:

- on hit 11 guarantees db2 (mb) into your b3-combo of choice. this seems to be her best punisher.

yet 11~db2b(mb) leads to the best damage (without a mix-up though), e.g.: 11, db2b(mb), b3, j2, j2, 112 1+3.

11 db2 doesn't mix up, it combos - the point is to reset.

yes. but starting a combo with 11-db2(mb) offers better damage scaling than 11-bf2(mb). so it should be your punisher of choice.

you can also use 11 midcombo to reset, but this is not what I was talking about.
 
Question I'm new here and I love playing black Canary and was wondering for combos involving D2 how do you connect df3 11 113 1+3

I got on i didn't see j2, 2u3, d2, b3, 33, bf2. This combo is super inconsistent I could only get it 1 out of 20 tries but my execution sucks and it might just be a hard combo.
