Enough, please. I don't want this thread getting derailed. Going to clean it up after this post.
As you and I already talked about, Cossner, and as other members here will agree, you don't post tech hoping that it will achieve the front page or so you can declare that you were its founder. You share it to discuss it among the community and hopefully come up with ways to expand upon it, to grow our players. That alone should be your ultimate goal. If your only intention is to seek recognition, then you're missing the point of what it means to be a community.
Regarding which tech should get front-paged and which shouldn't, I'll be honest here: I had front-paged some tech from some players around the time Injustice came out, but have lately noticed the downsides to this and stepped away from it for a bit.
What were the downsides, you ask?
Players who don't get their tech front-paged will, understandably, begin to feel slighted, as if favorites are being played. I can assure you all right now, and am speaking only on my behalf when I say this: I personally play no favorites and genuinely want to see
all players learning from one another. I don't want anybody to feel under-appreciated. For this reason, I felt it was best to just leave the tech in the character forums where it all should go.
However, for those who are still getting used to this site and its functions, look down at the bottom of the page and you will see the commands to share threads via Twitter and FaceBook. Use those to publicize the tech that you feel should gain attention. Myself and the rest of the TYM staff do not need to handle all of that for you, because you, the members, have just as much power to spread the word as we do.
