In response to the PRISM argument, Microsoft, Facebook and other intelligent technology providers issued statements that they do not provide any information with government agencies unless required to do so by subpoena.

Do we honestly think that what worthless gaming we do is going to be watched by the government? Some of you are very Orwellian.

One thing I want to ask about though, does anyone know if the Kinect camera will be able to capture infrared light? I assume the answer is yes, and that's probably how the "heartbeat monitor" feature works.

Woah, I hadn't thought of that. I haven't heard anything about heart beat monitors. I'll have to read into it.

Yeah intended to be used for exercise games and stuff like that I'd imagine. Maybe horror game devs can see when you're scared and your heart is beating and they can make the experience change based upon that, idk... could be pretty neat. But I can understand why a lot of people would be really frightened by something like that, I'm certainly uneasy about it myself. But I don't know enough about it and the console is a long ways away still so who knows.

You're absolutely right, that wasn't very smart of me. Everyone just stop jumping down eachothers throats, it's getting to be a little much. Just discuss the interview and the info that came from it... no sense in putting others down about it. This goes for everyone.

It's just an entertainment device for fucks sake. If anyone doesn't like it, don't buy it lol...

Google, Twitter,Facebook,Microsoft.. All American companies... NSA...American project.. If it is for the safety of Americans.. Do you want "Joes Video Security" working the issue? Or best of the best?

Yea, I mean, I feel safe having information monitored. But it isn't like Kinect is going to have a direct video link to CIA so they can monitor what we do while sitting in our gaming chairs.

If used games were the apocalyptic issue that some developers and publishers make them out to be, then they wouldn't be giving GameStop exclusive pre-order bonuses and DLC accesses. Especially now with a digital future within reach, publishers, who are the ones that complain the most about used games, are still arm-in-arm with GameStop even though they could pushed them out of the loop totally.


The used games bogey-man is just a convenient excuse to squeeze the consumer of as much money as possible because development costs are so out of control that every game has to sell outragous numbers or else it is a fialure and publishers are so insane with greed that fucking Dark Souls II is being pushed as a AAA title.

Its at this old cavern in an underground ....firepit I guess you can call it...its run by this nice MS exec named Satan McDevilpants...
Its a quick painfull process and you may even survive...but its all for advancing humans with technology ...well and motion control..
