Huh, this makes me think even more that Geras is a "playable" form of Kronika or inversely, she is Boss Geras. He may have been the originally planned "male" boss design before they decided they should make the first female boss but kept him around as a nerfed playable version.

It's literally confirmed that there are 6 DLC characters in the Kombat Pack. He said 30-ish after all the DLC.
