I think claw makes the string gapless but I could be wrongThis last video reminds me of a project I've been wanting to do, but don't have the time for: a list of strings into specials that have gaps that can be parried. For example:
War God
B122~OH Sword = no gap
B122~Low Sword/Saw Blade = can Parry
B14~OH Sword/Low Sword/Saw Blade = can Parry
F1B2~OH Sword/Low Sword/Saw Blade = can Parry
Or, as you just showed here:
Tremor
String~OH Punch = can Parry
The question is, of course, does that work against all of Tremor's strings? Also, if Tremor uses Straight Punch, it's probably a true string, so something to watch out for.
Of course, this tech doesn't matter against characters that end their strings in projectiles, like KL Buzz Saw with Low Hat or Sub any variation with Burst, but it could matter against say Reptile's Claw.
It does make it gaplessI think it does too, but it would be good to make sure.
Is that true of all of Reptile's strings cancelled into Claw?It does make it gapless
the f312 into claw is a true block string, but no It is not true for all of his stringsIs that true of all of Reptile's strings cancelled into Claw?
Gotcha. Thank you.the f312 into claw is a true block string, but no It is not true for all of his strings
You can parry his tele on reactionA small ft10 set against Tempest Kung Lao. His teleports are just too fast!
Yea I know but sometimes it's just too hard to do it online. You can parry his tele on reaction
I hella don't know but it was fun to see it while playing. Afterall that's gotta be some lag issues.16:20 - WTF happened there? Just after Sub dropped his parry, Kung Lao tele grabbed him, and lost his grab midway.
Overall, ggs.
I feel like your play is a little too proactive - a lot of unsafe hard reads, random slides, and double poking on block. Then at some points, you totally back off and give your opponent way too much respect. It might be better to try to find a middle ground and staying safe, then going balls to the wall in the corner.
Is there any tech or habits you would recommend?I feel like your play is a little too proactive - a lot of unsafe hard reads, random slides, and double poking on block. I've played ub sub since the 2nd month after release(originally played GM). So I understand why you make those reads. What I've started doing is using ex aura more. So when I'm punishing or caught a frozen opponent, B12 xx exaura xx B12 is my friend. If u have exaura up there is no reason to not try B2 reset. If blocked you don't take as much damageIs there any tech or habits you would recommend?
