Reptile got shat on just as predicted. Removed all armor and got nothing variation specific.

Takeda still has his f1blabla pressure which doesn't cost resources and still has pushback on normal kunai/ blade drop+call from f1 string so you can't reach to poke him out of it. GG nrs.

Fisticuffs can now use meter to do what the other variations can for free.

GM...no more retarded j1( in theory) , no more armored launcher, no more idiotic armor break in the corner. Still have to use F/T to get around d4clone spam though, so meh.

Only major dissapointment is reptile. Bleh.

I only see minor nerf to jumping (1 frame? really?) might be a poor wording of course, but if thats what it looks like, then jumps will be EXTREMELY OP now when all means to defeat them (armor) are gone.
They got nerfed, the hurtbox comes out before the Hitbox universally which is a ???? change IMO.

Seems like the overall system adjustments will make it so that you have to open up your opponent more times to take the round.

Overall on paper the changes seem good

I've never seen it used in tournament. Aside from when demo players are losing and try their last resort, always failing.

The drone kamikazi's hitbox is placed too high, her drone attacks are hard to cancel into and she's worthless without the drone, which can get very hard to summon if you're being bullied by offense in a match.

General Gameplay fixes

  • The increased hurt regions when you perform an air attack now activate one frame before the hit region activates
  • Kounter message added when a hit lands as a counterattack or punish
  • You are no longer able use specific timing to avoid recovery frames on some jump attacks which used weapons
  • Reduced the victim blockstun along with the attacker block recovery on many moves (keeping the same +|- on block advantage)
A lot of people say NRS doesn't listen, @colt does what he wants, but these are for me proof enough that NRS listens and analyses, i don't wanna hear this nonsence again that some members have no logical explanation or sense of knowing what they're talking about.

On top of that i might not get exactly what i wanted for Hat Trick, but i still got many things that was in need, besides the game has changed more that i'm actually pleased with the current changes, which are also indirect buffs to any character

Well, Jacqui not only got nerfed directly, but indirectly by the general nerfs to Run stamina. Her movement was one of her best traits (and her only real means of getting past pokes). RIP

Jax didn't really change much. I'm disappointed in the lack of otg damage (still zero reason to use Ex Ground Pound). Extra armor on Ex Gotcha is nice, but kind of unnecessary. It's so fast that it rarely got hit twice, even by anti-wakeup tech.

Is it safe to say that Kotal got hit pretty hard?
For whatever reason, NRS has this maddening tendency to randomly nerf at least one fairly well-balanced character, in each patch, unnecessarily. I think Kotal is that character, this time around.

I mean, of all the variations in this game, why in the holy fuck would you nerf Blood God?

RIP Tanya. Obtained armor back on ex rekkas but can't even delay her normal rekkas anymore. I hope those damage scaling adjustments are buffs and not nerfs...

All you need to do is land a b3. I'll eat a projectile to get the drone out. God forbid you might have to make a read to start your offense.
