I just trusted REO's judgement lol. I don't play Scorpion so how can I really know what matchups are good or bad for him.

REO made this thread listing Scorpion's "bad 5-5 matchups". Maybe he was trolling, maybe he didn't know about Catwoman. I don't know.

But it doesn't matter anyway because everyone agreed from the start that Scorpion post-patch wasn't the best in the game. He was probably #1 or close to it with -1 Flip Kick though but we'll never know that either.

Ok, so what you really want is it to be slower on startup so you can throw out LGS anytime you want in the KF matchup.

Don't bother with the comment "but you play KF and have safe slide" bs... I've already heard it.

DS up close game is ridiculous and once you knock KF down, he owns her as does most of the cast because her ONLY viable wakeup is slide which can be baited into full combo by every character in the game.

I don't want Scorpion to be banned anymore because he got nerfed (a bit too much too). But yes I thought it was too soon to allow any DLC character besides Lobo. I wouldn't have allowed Batgirl either if I was TO. And like I said, it would've just been a temporary ban, not a permanent ban.

So stop being a drama queen about it and stop pretending like we just avoided a genocide. It wouldn't have mattered if Scorpion was banned for a few weeks or not. It only would've mattered for PL and Slips.

I like Slips a lot as a player, but I'm not GGA so I don't care because Slips isn't my buddy. I care more about all those other guys who don't have PL, Slips or REO as training partner to get solid Scorpion experience. They don't want to pay a lot of money to travel only to get randomed out by an average Scorpion on Mess Hall.

The only ones who can say "there just isn't time" is those who said Lobo should have been banned at ECT and UFGT and Batgirl should have been banned at CEO. It's obviously a little bit of both except he wasn't "broken" as in "too good".

Being "scrubbiest and braindead" was a quote from REO on the last show. And I agreed with him but that alone doesn't make a character ban worthy. Because LBSH Killer Frost and Black Adam were also scrubby and braindead.

Honestly, the only thing that truly bothered me personally about Scorpion is that he was the only one allowed to use interactables. Why design a game based around interactables then design a character that can abuse them and prevent others from using them? That was my major gripe with the character. That and of course MB teleport which really has no place in a game like Injustice. There's a reason why the only other teleports in this game are either slow or have no hitbox.

Bottom line is.... Scorpion still does break the game, the patch may have weakened him, but his fundamental play style doesn't confirm to the rules, just because he's beatable doesn't mean he doesn't break the games general rules.

Cyrax broke the game in MK9 way more than Scorpion does in Injustice (resets and breaker traps really stand out). If you guys are claiming you want Scorpion banned out of principal, the same arguments should have been made for Cyrax.

I should not speak for REO but I suspect the feeling from him would have been that Scorpion is a top character, along with KF, Superman, and the rest, but the idea of him being this unbeatable, bannable, ungodly character that broke the game in half was a bill of goods.

This podcast should have been called the "we're sorry" edition. It's essentially 4 players admitting they were wrong about Scorpion in different ways, with only Pig actually having the balls to flat out say he was wrong (REO blamed it on others, Dave brought up Deathstroke for no reason, and Tom was typically defensive).

I find it hilarious because everyone was referencing those four guys to back up their arguments about Scorpion.

I think their original scorpion-related podcast was a lot less unreasonable than you make it out to be. Ultimately they suggested the character be banned for being able to pull cheap wins from MB tpp pending nerfs to the ability.

The nerfs that did happen were far more than what those on the podcast suggested. I see little fault there. Honestly you are making this out to be this big stain on the TYM name when it's not. Scorpion being banned for 1 or 2 tournaments would not have been a big deal at all, particularly when the community at large hated/hates him so much.
