Competitors, not to fear as the updated patch that dropped yesterday with General Zod will be what will be used at this year's World Finals at the Paris Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, NV. It has also been made very clear several times that General Zod will be banned from EVO this year.

Regarding Scorpion being banned? No official word has yet been stated.

Are you talking about how some IOs will hit twice in certain spots if the defending character armors through it? That's been around for a while, though I think the chandelier in the Asylum did gain the property when they were adjusting it. Most of the current incidents of it are with the corner IOs that power characters smack down in front of them. On Striker-Yard both of the corner IOs will hit twice at certain angles, even if the character isn't armoring. There are even setups to end combos early and get free 40% from the IO.

Why would Scorpion be banned after the patch? Is the Scorpion fear that bad? He's very average after the patch, still good...just not broken. His normals are very bad, his teleport can no longer be abused, and his jump ins are fixed. The crying should be over.

Scorpion won't be banned. Especially after most of the Scorpion mains at CEO didn't use him in the top 8 and the ones that used him before that got bodied. Plan accordingly.

Who gives a crap, Zod, isn't that good, or over powered IMO. Players have plenty of time to get a feel (however brief) for how he plays, and learn to fight him. I think banning ANY character in a fighting game turny is a crappy move.
