I'm back on psn.
they still allow you to play the game's fundamentalsSounds good to me. Fire up the ban Kabal/Kenshi polls.
At least I have a chance of beating a random Kenshi/Kabal with Stryker, if I play smart enough. In IGAU, a random Scorpion could destroy me by being so random.they still allow you to play the game's fundamentals
they make it hella harder but to my knowledge no character has a game that breaks the game's design

thats not trueKabal and KL totally invalidate all forms of spacing and footsies.
Kenshi just overwhelms everyone else's, but at least you can try... kinda. <.<
I think he was just trolling haha. Without these two characters he would be omega dizzy 24/7they still allow you to play the game's fundamentals

thats not true
If KL defied footsies then KL and kenshi would be 8-2 and infact its 5-5 or adv kenshi
Kabal dominates 90% of the cast hard but there are characters who can fight him far better than anyone can fight scorp
Whatever i dont agree w KL defines the game's footsies. You just have all that armor to eat up anything he does. For everyone else, he gets in and gets out pretty much at will for little to no risk.
Same with Kabal, except he has the added benefit of keeping you out with all the other ways of moving as he pleases.

no
If kenshi can walk so can baraka
Dude you are totally saying this from the perspective of a baraka player! C'mon now, for Baraka yes it is way tougher. If you had slightly better tools you could play footsies with the best of them. Don't blame Kabal/Kenshi/Lao, blame mid/low tier badness. Kabal and Kenshi are good because they have good tools for every scenario. That isn't exactly broken.... they just have good answers. Now Cyrax resets... well that is broken...but w/e he needs it #yoloYou just have all that armor to eat up anything he does. GamerBlake90 Espio we must revive the online portion of mk9 on psn

Good post...Before I start, I just want everyone to know that this has absolutely nothing to do with the bashing of Injustice or its community.
This thread is to find out who is genuinely interested in starting up Mortal Kombat 9 again. Smash is running an 11 year old game with 550 entrants at EVO while MK9, a 2 year game, will be lucky to surpass 100 entrants. At the moment, maybe people are saying "I'm gonna go learn AE now," or something to that extent because of recent issues with new games. Instead of switching to a different franchise, why not do what other communities do and play the current game until the next generation is out? SF4 was incredibly popular until SF4AE came out. MVC3 was popular until UMVC3 came out. SFxT is basically seen as a sister game to the Capcom community. Instead of dropping a game for a new game, people should continue to support the franchise so that developers can get a better understanding on how to make the follow-up better. Developer's aren't going to create a game and base their development on a game everyone dropped 2 years ago. They're going to be like "Everybody hates Scorpion, but they love General Zod. Fast-paced gameplay isn't the way to go. This will always be a world of zoners." Black Adam reference, but that's not the point. I don't hate this community, I don't mind the complainers, and I don't discredit people's achievements in their games (I was just never into DC, so that's where my dislike for the game comes from ). I love this community and it's my favorite community out there, but when NRS announces MK10, don't be salty when they disregard your concerns from 2 years back and only take into account what the community prefers in non-MK games.
Also, I now understand what players were talking about during MK9 when they said that patches lost their interest in playing the game. If it's your first competitive fighting game, you may not understand it while it happens, but it does effect how you view the community. PR Balrog, Filipino Champ, Justin Wong, Floe, and Chris G all played and enjoyed MK9. They have been playing fighting games for a while and played MK from the release. Almost all of them have said that while they did enjoy the game, there were too many patches and they progressively lost interest because it was too hard to keep track of the current state of the game. While you can say that MK9 was dominated by Kenshi and Kabal, the only Kabal and Kenshi who consistently dominated the brackets were REO and Pig of the Hut. They didn't even really dominate the brackets either (besides REO towards the end of his MK9 career [after he broke through his character crisis]). This has already happened with many people in the Injustice community, including Rico Suave (One of the top Black Adam players in the country), CDjr (One of the top Superman players in the country), EGP Tyrant (One of the top Grundy/Superman players in the country), and many more. Without a true basis to begin their development, NRS will have to base it on the current state of the community (about a year or two from now), and they will end up patching the game to hell in order to appeal to the community/audience.
Kabal zoning is easy to get around with dash cancels in this game if you have practiced it. Hit buttons between Kabal cancel pressure for full combo or jump out. Simple baited counter pokes work great too. Also, you can punish saw blades midscreen and hookswords in the corner.I'm saying from the perspective of an MK player. There's very little any character can do to stop most of their bullshit.

Kabal actual has a lot of holes/weaknesses, especially in the corner and people have YET to learn how to exploit them. If MK had a practice mode like Injustice people would be so much better at their MUs
IMO the most broken part of Kabal is his ability to full combo punish you with IAGB from anywhere on screen. His Cancel pressure is VERY manageable...but it is easy to get overwhlemed.
The simple answer here is to buff the lower tier characters so they can compete 5-5 with the like of Kabal/Kenshi. It would be really easy to Buff Jade up so that she could beat Kabal 6-4... I mean c'mon people!!!
