Question: Are you including only those in your area or say someone comes and visits you guys from another location. Would they be included in your list or is this strictly for your area? That way I know how to put my list together because we definitely have the players in my area to do a top 10.

Nothing is more fun in competitive fighting than creating hierarchy! We could probably implement this to. Lulzlou xKhaoTik astronout @bdmao FlipinFlava SmokeMaster Blackula @srryimwhite Mr Aquaman Kevo Eazail etc ECT we have a lot of players on the DMV area

I would suggest you guys have a separate list for NOVA/MD because there aren't too many times we'd be able to something with the entire DMV area unless it's one of our larger tourneys. I mean unless all of you guys decide to come down to one of my Friday sessions like astronout Lulzlou Korpse and xKhaoTik usually do. Not sure if you guys would want to come down every week to do this.

I have a suggestion to add to your skunk rule. It should flow both ways. If the person making the challenge gets skunked 0-5, he should move down as many spots as the distance he challenged.

how are you keeping tabs on ranked matches so far? Do you only allow them to run one at a time? does an "official" of sorts have to OK the match?

My only concern is that in a crowded room or what have you, or in some kind of confusion two ranked matches happen at the same time and the resulting leaderboard gets mixed up

Example: #3 beats #1 while #4 5-0s #2

#4 would become rank #2 and rank #1 should go down to #2 as well.

So should the originally higher rank get priority over #4 even though he 5-0ed his opponent?

We have 40+ active players which makes the gate keepers job even more thrilling and exciting

For ours last night we had two stations. I allowed them both to go on at the same because the challenge matches had a good separation in rank where this issue wouldn't come up. I sat there and kept track of everything. As soon as a match was done, the ranking was updated immediately if there was a change.

Motivation. In other words, never get skunked. You know the characters of the people you're challenging. This is where you need to go to the lab learn the matchup so that you don't get skunked.

If you get 5-0d then you deserve to move down. Simple as that. Dont get bodied.

I'm just saying... if #2 gets bodied by #1... then he just drops to #3

but if #6 gets bodied by #5.... he gets moved completely out of the rankings. Which would leave a void at the Gatekeeper spot. This is Blackula's addition... not the current one you're using.

I like the AK simple way honestly. It doesn't punish you for challenging.... which is the point yeah?

I would say that if the Gate Keeper gets skunked, he would not lose his spot since we're not keeping track of any rankings past 10. Someone else wouldn't just assume the spot of #10 but some sort of penalty needs to be levied against him for getting skunked if he does. If 9 gets skunked by 7, I wouldn't quite move him off the list since that would create that void which I want to avoid. 9 should move to 10 and be the gatekeeper but should have some penalty as well. What those penalties will be, working on determining that.
