Alright guys, so Sequel and I just played some games and I can attest to how downright bullshit broken tier Kano really is. Now, I initially had my character goggles on and defended this crap but dear god...it's ridiculous. With knife spam, I always assumed that once you neutral crouched it, that clearly the next step is for Kano to throw a ball...even at full screen you can not anticipate this. Block will NOT register quickly enough to block and punish this. It's a free move, completely. So, once Kano zones you out, and in the event that your character does not have a teleport you are fucked.

Tonight I officially denounce a character, I've never been so disgusted with a character to actually state that I will never play them again, in my near 20 years of gaming. This character is just a joke and anyone who actually defends him at this point needs to remove the blinders or move on to Raiden and his bullshit broken tier tactics as well. I feel like I need to take a scalding hot shower and scrub my skin with bleach for playing this character...my god.

Also, Sequel, please make the 5 minute Raiden video!

GGs Iniquity but you know how I feel about this game and how every character is dumbed down. People who think otherwise are either defending their precious character and have bedsheets plastered with their characters picture on it or they are just ignorant scrubs. Take your pick.

Yea, I get the video, and I laughed the first time someone did it to me online, but that's it. The subject of the upball has been beat to death. This is silly.

I've only played two Kano players offline, and done 6 X Rays, but only one connected.

If you do it on reaction to Knife he can block it almost every time. If you do it preemptively the knife will knock you out of it almost every time. If you try to anti air him with it, he can cancel his jump attack into an air throw and it wins.

The only one I hit was baiting him to whiff an up ball from midscreen...


Seriously, don't even bother using X Rays against this guy.

So I played some online matches with WhiteShack (pretty cool guy btw) and I've come to the conclusion by playing his Kano 212 up ball and f3, b2 up ball are frame traps how about that.

Your right, my bad. It's mostly just making fun. I just get tired of beating people online with him (he is my main since day 1). Then they bitch and complain. I try not to even use the damn upball if I can help it. It was a great move before, Only use it as wakeup, anti air, and combo ender. Just hoping for the patch so I get " the respected Kano" back I guess. Hope things like this Don't cause people to jump ship. The game is still so new. I hope it stays tournament worthy for years to come.

The game is still so new. I hope it stays tournament worthy for years to come.

At this rate, I think the vast majority of us will move on to bigger and better things IF this game even gets to that level before MK10 is released at another shiny $60. Given MKs horrible track record and the fact that average Joe is still somehow going to be excited for MK10 so he can see some new fatalaties is bafflingly to me considering that MK9 is an unfinished infinite and glitch ridden piece of shit at the moment. Honestly, I feel like NRS just made a game with SIMILAR flashy tournament game elements and just skimped out on what makes the game actually good.

Think of it this way, if average Joe picks up MK to play Scorpion, learns the depth of this game (which is very limited, we're all in agreement here) then after watching this shown at EVO he will feel that he's an actual tournament level player. However, tons of time and wasted energy was still put into the story mode to keep the people who care nothing about MK other than general character and fatality enthuasists. NRS should not have opened this door if they weren't ready to set foot into the tournament world.

I didn't buy this game to learn virtually everything in under two months...this game is just leaving a bad taste in most players mouths who expected more from this and it just simply is not there. The infinites ARE STILL IN THE GAME but NRS had no issue releasing the 'kostume' DLC and showing off Skarlet at E3. If those fucking infinites are still in the game at EVO I'm trading this shit in.

Yes, because they're really going to talk about balance patches and infinites at E3. They have other fans as well, and let's face it, even here we care about this stuff. I agree with a lot of what you and other people are saying in here, but this part is just stupid.

But in all fairness this is their first go at trying to have a tournament worthy Mortal Kombat game. I think their intentions are right, but their direction is not.

NRS is just trying to do to much, and to much tweaking and trying to balance things like this can completely take them steps backwards instead of forwards, which is what is happening. They need to take baby steps. The tournament scene isn't going anywhere I don't get the reasoning behind the shitty rush job they're doing so far in trying to make this right.

Yeah Baraka needed the help he got, and some of the other things they did were ok, but who's damn decision was it to make Kano's upball the way it currently is. Fix the broken shit and the shitty infinites first. Bring respect to the game, first. Why go changing how characters play 2 months in? BABY STEPS.
