You can call me a DUMB ASS LITTLE MOTHER~ you know what after this post. But here is my reasoning and its part of my Lack of "Hype" at some of those ATL level ups. The 5 Reasons Injustice is "Meh"
1.) This is TYM right? Test your Might... a phrase used in the MK world day in and day out. MK9 Was a revitalization of what we MK fans thought was once lost. MK9 Returned to the 2d tradition and many peoples favorites were back. So it was hype to see a community come together for something even with the games flaws. With Injustice... its just a game made by the same people with out the Charm to the Typical MK fan.
2.) Characters. No this doesn't mean the characters they selected to be in the game is bad or not good. I mean I've NEVER heard of such a thing until INJUSTICE dropped. "There is no reason to play (Character A) over (Character B)." Like A is a weaker version of B. In MK EACH character had a very distinct play style and different moves. Half of the characters in the game..don't have original moves or moves that look just like another characters.
3.) Injustice System vs MK System: MK9 was released, every character was viable (partly due to lack of tech) but each character had someway of managing space, damage, meter, and such. In Injustice, you can manage space all you want, but if an interactable swoops in over the opponent's head and you get bopped with it then they can get in with some sort of 50/50 game like Killer Frost, it can get really annoying. For example let's say Bane is trying to close the gap on Killer Frost, you get in and right as you're about half a dash away, one of those respawning intractable is now on screen because of your dash forward. Killer Frost Bops you with it. The game is IMMEDIATELY in her favor. If she guesses right you eat about 40 some odd percent coupled with the 20% interactable. And since this game goes on a life system, you can get LAMED out or timed up so easily since once a life lead is established... the opponent really has no reason to come near you. And let's say you're playing a (Supes / Bats / Aquaman / DoubleDubs / Doomsday / Lantern) Gets the opening round kill.. since their is no reset (Health equalizer) in the rounds... you don't have much of a choice but to get in their face. And for characters without a projectile..its not easy and for a LOT of characters with a projectile its still hell. And since a couple of characters (Adam and Lantern) Can break all armor with minigun/lightning... okay point is you get my point. I don't like making long winded posts especially if they aren't the OP.
4.) Interactables period. People bitch about the Smash Ball in Smash Bros. Games and that's the most casual fighter around. So what the hell did you think would happen when you put that type of thing into a game that is expected to be competitive? As Bane my job is to put you in the corner... killer frost / Deathstroke get free MB water bursts in Atlantis. Power characters eat people on the roof top. Its ridiculous the amount of stage advantage their is. I understand a stage can tip MU's in a lot of fighters... but it shouldn't make a matchup go from even to WTF IS THIS SHIT HERE!?
5.) DLC: When it came down to the DLC characters in MK. They were safe, everybody pretty much wants picks. Minus Freddy. All the people that NEEDED to be there, were there. In Injustice... we got the dude that SHOULD BE THERE DAY 1, in the Background of a stage... so they knew he should be there... but just ignored it and told him to be Martian Stagehunter. The Batman fans are getting everything besides a free Xbox with Doritos and year supply of Mountain Dew. And since MK is ONE COLLECTIVE Universe. We liked ALL the DLC..except what wasn't MK. But remember with DC its different. Its segmented. As in you can like Superman... but not like Batman. So if you aren't a BATMAN LOVER... the DLC is irreleveant. If you never gave a fuck about Lobo...wew....don't like batman....then you're season pass is invalid.
Not saying the game is bad.. but its not the hypest thing when I can't think of a single character that has multiple ways of playing them... everyone seems a tad bit 1 dimensional in their gameplan.. Should I just make this an OP?... its a bit long winded sorry guys.
