And then NRS will nerf him to FU tier. Because the Elder Gods hate you.Just wait till MK10 comes around, he will come back in a hugh way thanks to Injustice. All you Baraka haters will pay with blood. BLOOD!!!
That was NOT me, but I won't say who it was. I worked on 9-10 characters with what little time I had.Chris G even told me that. While he was working on every char. Other testers focused on like 3 that they like and some even cried for buffs to their obvious favorite char.
Don't just pick out a few chars to make a point. Actually look around forums, it's not hard to find, at least 1 person of everybody playing a char can see this game is SOMEWHAT balanced. Anybody that says it's 100% balanced is obviously full of shit to their eyeballs, NO game is 100% balanced, that's just silly. It's obviously more balanced than MK9 (right now) though, clearly anybody can see this. I main Bane and Superman, and the best games in FG history were actually broke as hell, so why people are screaming for balance when sales over time PROVES it's not what they really want is pointless as wellBtw. Notice ppl who say injustice is balanced are superman, batman, aqua man players.
Lol
Poor Baraka. It's okay, I love you! Silly tier list, you are always awesome to me.And then NRS will nerf him to FU tier. Because the Elder Gods hate you.
lol nah. it's just a mechanic that won't change so i deal with it...i guess. u know i'd prefer to have knock downs matter in that game (dat VORTEX...yaaaas).About fucking time, goddamn! Did you finally start using Cage in tournament to press buttons, too???
- Clash problems I can agree with to an extent, but you should manage your meter so that if you HAVE to clash you get the knockdown. So theres 1 answer. On top of that, nobody can clash against grundy, so why should his clash give him such advantage?Pig Of The Hut empirically disproves this. I've seen this argument a lot recently, but it's a non-sequitur (or maybe a straw man... not really sure, but it's a logical fallacy) argument because perception of balance and difficulty have literally nothing to do with each other. I think the gap between the good and the bad is much bigger in this game than in MK9.
Sorry, but when i cant even clash with "tournament viable character" grundy because it'll leave me full screen and whatever health i got back i'm just going to lose (and then some) getting back in, this time without meter that i so desperately need, then there's a problem.
When negative edge is still on with RC off, there's a problem,
when i finish your first health bar with d1 and you turn into rubber and bounce full screen before rd2 there's a problem.
When there's characters who are + on all of their strings on block and still have exceptionally good zoning (looking at you nightwing, pushblock doesnt matter because his projectiles are plus 20 on block, wtf) there's a problem.
when interactables get in the wat of the camera or freeze your character completely, there's a problem.
When you cant b3 because the level transition does less damage than your combo and screws you out of the work you did to put them in the corner, there's a problem.
When certain characters' traits are wasted buttons and other traits are game changing, there's a problem.
When most crossups are completely ambiguous (thus it's not a skill to block correctly, it's just guessing right), there's a problem.
Welcome to MK, bro.Crossups take skill to apply and to get out of it. It's basic 101 in 2D fighting games, I've never seen anybody complain about them until today
NBA Jam Tournament Edition on SNES/Genesis says hithere is no perfect game
There is one exception to this rule, for anyone who's play vanilla SFxT. Cross-ups made absolutely no sense in that game.Crossups take skill to apply and to get out of it. It's basic 101 in 2D fighting games, I've never seen anybody complain about them until today
I am here only because everyone else is. This thread is helluva active.Give it time.. And keep discussing the important issues.
i know you wouldnt do some shit like thatThat was NOT me, but I won't say who it was. I worked on 9-10 characters with what little time I had.
we are in 2013 now, we have all frame data in the game, we have a realy good practise mode, we have alot of motivated players for all characters in the character threads. and only cause those players arent reo or tom brady or some well known player, dosent mean they are garbage or dont know what they are doing. i hate to read "this character isnt fully explored bla bla", cause we havent seen a reo/tom brady (sry guys for bringing your names up, love you ^^) or whoever winning a major with them.Good info bro but I don't think a top 8 list is the best way to go about character variety and balance this early in the game.. It would prove viable maybe a year from now.
It has nothing to do with exploration of characters even though that does factor into it.. Its letting the meta game grow. Theres no way we will be playing this game the same way a year from the way we play it today.. Its letting the game grow.. Not just Character exploration.we are in 2013 now, we have all frame data in the game, we have a realy good practise mode, we have alot of motivated players for all characters in the character threads. and only cause those players arent reo or tom brady or some well known player, dosent mean they are garbage or dont know what they are doing. i hate to read "this character isnt fully explored bla bla", cause we havent seen a reo/tom brady (sry guys for bringing your names up, love you ^^) or whoever winning a major with them.
my point is, this game isnt fully explored yet but we wont need a year to know that some characters like lex, bane and some others have big problems. and god forbid! i have to wait a year to get some buffs for them.
I think it's funny that logical fallacies get a lot of likes. i present a problem, you use a straw man by saying SF4 has that problem (which... i guess you use to mean that it isnt a real problem because it's not as bad in this game, but it can also be read that since it's in that game it is not a problem gakgakgak), and therefore ... what?Uhh...someone hasn't played SFIV. XD
first, i appreciate the concessions. You, sir, at least have a sense for conversation.- Clash problems I can agree with to an extent, but you should manage your meter so that if you HAVE to clash you get the knockdown. So theres 1 answer. On top of that, nobody can clash against grundy, so why should his clash give him such advantage?
- NW may be + on strings/projectiles, but frametraps dont work like they do in MK9, you have more than enough options to deal with them.
- Haven't seen them freeze my character completely, hows that happen?
- Pretty much every set up for a cross over I've found in this game isn't ambiguous, you just have to look exactly how the other player moved, and you'll block it a vast majority of the time. But obviously reacting too slow can get you killed, and can happen. Alot of them can be avoided too.
And who are you exactly?Only going to respond to respected members of the community (not dumb gakers)
Stop being a groupie. You are no better than anyone else here.. We are all here to learn.Only going to respond to respected members of the community (not dumb gakers).

on NW: The best option at this point is pushblock, but that messes up the entire meter management game if i have to pushblock every time he touches me.
