My Injustice predictions a year from now

These are my predictions for characters a year from now. Please keep in mind I am basing this off characters remaining relatively the same throughout the span of time.


- DoomsDay
He will get worse as time goes on. Right now his dominance is mostly all gimmicks (even I still fall for them and am not used to shutting them down, yet) that are not truly effective against players who will have a ton of experience under their belt. I predict a year from now DoomsDay will become the Nightwolf of the game and move down to low-mid. He will be hot for the first few months, but he will steadily decline. I feel bad for all you DoomsDay players who aren't rioting for buffs to get them while you can. His splash is something he really needed. I don't care if it had a phantom hitbox on it, some other moves in the game have the same thing yet they're still in.

- Bane
Bane will steadily rise up and become better once players get more accustomed to having the fundamentals of the game down to a science. Right now some feel that he is bottom tier, but I think he will be better than characters like DoomsDay overall and become a solid mid tier.

- Sinestro
Contrary to popular belief, Sinestro was never the worst character in the game like some would have you believe. I don't think he's a bottom tier character at ALL and is actually really good. It's just going to take a lot of time for a ton of gimmicks to get fleshed out that are hindering Sinestro players right now. I'm pretty sure a year from now Sinestro will be one of the better characters, AKA high tier.

- The Flash
Probably the biggest sleeper right now. I foresee The Flash becoming a huge threat a year from now. Once players get accustomed to all the zoning, and become patient enough to get around things, he will become a beast.

- Superman
When I play Superman I feel a little some thing that I felt when I was playing Kabal. Every time I run into a problem, after some time I'll find a way around to combat it. Such power. If anyone should be number one, then it should be Superman. I just wish it was a little less obvious that he may possibly be the best character in the game. Let's hope Superman doesn't run into that brick wall this year.

- Cyborg
He will become some players most hated match-up. I can see the anger already. Cyborg will get better as time passes while players take time to get their execution and set-ups down.

- Nightwing
I have nothing more to say than "Hidden high tier".

- Catwoman
She will become more annoying to fight.

- Green Lantern
Once a top tier, always a top tier.

- Hawlgirl
Another character that some players think is "trash". By her nature and design, I believe she will be hell for some, and heaven for others.



That's all I have for now. I'm probably missing a lot of characters but it was off the top of my head.

I'm also interested with what you have to say about Lex, I've hit a wall with him. I feel like people get around his setups extremely easily now when I play competitive people. Only thing I haven't tried is playing extremely slow and just taking my sweet sweet time getting in.

Couldn't agree more on this one.

But I thought Nightwing was already considered high tier by most.

Bane I don't know. We'll have to wait and see but I hope he gets better rep.

My prediction is that all the Ares/Shazam downplayers will feel really silly in 1 year.

Regarding DD as he is right now, he is still really scary to fight against. I would agree with your prediction, but that would apply only if he was left as he is in a year from now, or even worse, he got nerfed (which i dont see it happening). The reason we DD players dont ask for buffs, is cause he is truly fucked up as he is atm. He virtually has not even one weakness and he pretty much destroys the entire cast except 2 or 3 characters.

BDMao88 Oops. I meant to post this in the Injustice forum. Anyway, I have mixed feelings with Lex. Sometimes I feel he can be really great, other times I feel he has too many shortcomings. He seems to be heavily based on momentum and split-second decisions which is something that requires you to be on point at all times (and let's face it, we're human so that's not technically possible). His whiff punishing is top notch, though. I'll give him that. However, patient players can be very annoying like you said.

I would like an explanation for this.

His bad MU's atm, imo, are Superman, Cyborg (cause of the infinite) and probably Batman. Against Aquaman and GL he goes even and he can even win against them.

Agree with Superman. I personally feel he's the best character in the game. I don't see him having many if any weaknesses, and has some really dominating match-ups. And he has answers for everything, all around complete character.

I agree with all of them. Bane, the Flash and Nightwing all seem to get overlooked but I've fought a couple of people who are using them well and they can just wreck stuff. Doomsday I agree, even though I play him and not trying to be a downplayer, even a week after the game came out some people have already started figuring some out his gimmicks. They are gimmicks too literally, its just his trait and his specials which make him seem really good right now. Once people get used to fighting him though, I don't think he'll be much of a problem for anyone. Superman is a jerk. It is annoying that he is the best because he's superman. DC just wants to make out with Superman all day long.

I was talking about DD in the current phase of the game, not in a year from now. It is unknown what will happen in a year from now, cause we dont know what kind of buffs/nerfs each character will receive. What about his corner game ? Once he corners you, its nearly impossible to get out if the DD player knows what he is doing. What about his wall carry ? What about the excellent reach of his normals, throw AND his frame traps ? Also ES is safe against everything (well except Superman's super) and you can mix it up in strings that are interruptible. I agree with you and with REO though, that in time, DD will become much more easier to fight against. It was the same with Ermac. He used to be S tier in the early stages of vanilla MK9, simply because the majority of the players didnt know the MU well. But still, downplaying DD is not wise. Could you plz pm me on why you think Harley and Hawkgirl are bad MU's for DD ? I agree with the rest, as i have posted above.

What about DS? Even without getting Kanofied I feel like he'd at least be Noob Saibot. He's a good all-around character. No nerfs, could buff but nah. Although I can smell new tech months from now since his meta game so far is pretty scrubby. So who knows?

Whenever people make these sorts of predictions, it's always going to be biased.

Saying that, I disagree with The Flash. He'll be more of an annoying character than a good one.
