If you have a preferred controller, you have to make sure you can use it. It's not other peoples responsibility. It should be on XBOX since there's reliable converters for the XBOX that supports PS controllers. None that I know of for the PS3 support 360 controller and are reliable.

PS3 is pretty overwhelmingly the tournament standard for fighting games in north america, i would assume more people would be playing on that console for that reason alone. if you're trying to play competitive games in the US then you should already know this and be prepared accordingly.

Not really. It's probably at most 60/40 in PS3's favor. It's just that the bigger name tournaments use a PS3, that's why it seems like PS3 is the "standard".

It's not too far away from me so, I'll be there. I'm a PS3 User, but I can probably use a 360 controller. I'd like to not have to use a 360 controller, but you know, I'll make do. ^_^

This is a perfect solution. however the store is sold out at the moment, and being it ships from Asia, it might not even make it to you before the tourney anyways.

For the converter you would need a wired 360 pad to trick the 360 into thinking a 360 pad is being used. So if you are serious about this, get a wired 360 and i'll let you borrow one of my xconverters just for this. let me know asap tho!

Well I hope you can count me in on my PS3. TV though might be a hassle though because I was talking with my mom yesterday and she didn't want me bringing her TV.

I'm really intersted in attending this, and would definitely be willing to let you use my ps3 so i dont have to play on the shitty xbox dpads Let me know. I only have 1 regular wireless controller though, the other two are goofy xbox layout wired ones that suck.

How about using a fight stick? I know that is different than using a PS3 dpad but better than an xbox pad.

I HATE THE PS3 controller with an unbelievable attitude but im working on it now because it is what i need to expect for EVO and all majors.

Oh and I also wanted to post that ive gotten numerous adds on xbl and ps3 as well as private messages on MKU and TYM where people have googled MK Tourney atlanta and are coming to this.

So far this has been really cool and its shaping up to be a real nice MK exclusive tourney with casuals on side. A great place to showcase your skills in front of your GA and southern players as well as the Stream I will provide.

i can come with a PS3 and 720p (lagless) monitor. if i bring the monitor, i'd have to bring some small speakers too if folks want sound because the monitor doesn't have built-in HDMI audio. they aren't a problem to transport, just wasn't sure if you had room for that kind of shit.
