Hey batman players! Question, maybe somebody can help me. Basically we all know you can turn off negative edge, making his b2 sky grapple much easier to do. But when you turn off negative edge , it seems there is no way to do 1,2 bf2 (so you can explode the batarang and continue you pressure/mix ups) it always comes out 122. Does anyone have a trick for doing this without the negative edge on? Cause with the negative edge on you can just 12bf and it comes out perfect, bit then the b2 sky grapple becomes b2 up batarang... help

I need some help guys! So my problem is right now I am relying a lot on jumps in + them not interrupting my strings to get my full combos out

I use stuff like b +112 etc to keep the pressure going but I just throw out 223 until they don't block it into combo but I know that string can be interrupted - are there high low mix ups up close that can lead to full combos with batman? something safe to keep the pressure up?

Hello all. What kind of play style is Batman? I've experimented with Black Adam and Nightwing already and I like them but Batman is my favorite super hero. Does he favor a rushdown lifestyle.

b3 does guarantee a free 1, the timing is just really tight. It can be done midscreen too.
 
1 is duckable, go for a back1


batman seems hella versatile, justin wongs batman was pretty jumpy.... my only problem with bat so far is perfecting my anti-air game...

I don't get the frame data for the combos... why are the startup frame values different for different combo that start with the same move? 112 has 9 startup frames but 113 has 21 startup frames. Is it referring to the last hit of the combo?

I just watched Civil War archives and REO spammed that b23 string as much as possible with the bats backing him up. Is that the gameplan? If so I've been playing it all wrong lol.

it's A gameplay... not THE gameplan... some matchups are played that way right now though... it's still early. ;)

I see. Is that string safe though? I was told it can be punished with a forward jump before the explosion...

it's avoidable... punishable in certain instances... but rarely either happens. like I said... its early
 
still new to batman, can somebody explain his trait for me? whats the difference between 1 or 3 bats? what are the most common setups? and what is this bat spin like thing when you have 3 bats around you?

bat spin is like a shield that pops up attacker for combo. you use the bats for a variety of reasons. make moves safe (great to use a grapple from mid screan... they duck come in to punish.. you release bats they get hit... you recover and can still combo them) to keep pressure on them... and to help zone, anti air or extend combos. I would not recommend the combo extentions unless your just stylin though. you should always have bats out. call the 3. then as soon as one is available get it out. while you have one out the others will still charge... meaning that if spaced right when you release the one bat another (maybe both) will be ready to call immediately... hope that helps

Frame data is glitchy on attacks with multiple hits. Its most likely that the second hit of b23 is indeed punishable if you somehow avoud th e third hit.

Hi. I want to share some Wayne´s tech;)
This one could render useless throwing things at the bat. Of course it only works for 1 hit projectiles.
This os will make more options on the pressure game, just add to the mix some jumping 2 , or dive with 3 or bait wake up attacks with the jump backwards in the air.

The B23 string is very good. Both as an ender and in pressure. You can even use it for checking space. F23 is also good, as the F2 part of the string reaches pretty far and can be canceled into specials. You could also end in F23 to push your opponent further into the corner. Ending does less damage tham B23, but its worth it in some situations if you want to bully your opponent around.
