Where is the balance?

No. While I do believe that "zoning" is a retarded fighting game mechanic if there is no projectile trading and all you end up doing is shoot and block across the screen is just as stupid, nerfing is hardly the answer to balancing games.
I think that "nerfing" is a kneejerk reaction and a horrible one. The game needs to evolve and people need to put in work. There are several case examples of unexplored characters skyrocketing to top tier and overrated characters being shoved down two or even three tiers.
The game needs to evolve and be explored, and perhaps characters who struggle uphill too much, need a bit of fine tuning.

tldr: The game needs a balance baseline to which weaker characters are adjusted rather than popular ones destroyed because of scrubs whining instead of doing work.

i feel like people should use the practice options to the fullest and record deathstroke doing his zoning and try and beat it and then after awhile you will be used to it i feel like he should not be nerfed at all he's fine he is beatable just got to practice against his zoning and find ways in i'm a all bane player so i understand why people want him nerfed but i win a lot of matches against zoning deathstrokes so use practice mode to the fullest

The game has only been out for how long and people are complaining about a character ? ? There were testers for this game and there is a reason why he is the way he is. ALL OF HIS SPECIAL MOVES ARE NEGATIVE with little to no pushback. At full screen just make your way in patiently until you get into the optimal range for your character and punish him. I dont even play Deathstroke and I know he shouldn't get nerfed. I feel sorry for all of you Deathstroke players.

I think DS is considered OP for a pretty simple reason :
When you know nothing about the game, he is the only character that seems to wreak havok on your opponents whatever you may do. "Insane" zoning abilities (that can be countered but consider the guy that just played 10 matchs), safe reversals calling for frustration if you want to mix on a down DS are things that make people think he's too strong.
It's the same syndrom as in Street Fighter when bad players think that Ryu and Ken are too strong because they keep throwing Hadoken and anticipating jumps with a Shoryuken (plus shoryuken is plain retarded in SSF4 but anyway).

as for myself, I think DS is a great character with a lot of good possibilities. Not overpowered though. But I can imagine that the match-up might be REALLY hard and dense (Bane, can you hear me ?)

ya but you have to remember... it takes a tiny amount of skill to do an insta air fireball. until i told you the secret with the injustice system

good thing for DS... ground shot goes under it and leads to knockdown if they are airborn giving you the advantage in the full screen war

u literally cannot leave the ground in that match. and the flight cancels up close get blown up by sword flip if a player has good reactions. not sure what DS you are playing but they must suck

I still haven't lost to a Deathstroke yet so I don't see how he's OP yet.

Buffing half the cast to deal with one character would cause chaos--
and potentially create weirdness or broke-ness in hundreds of other match-ups.
Maybe universal mobility buff would be good- but what would that do to someone like Doomsday?
So many variables wold need to be considered...

How would that cause chaos? They do this in guilty gear all the time. They always give tools to characters that need help against higher tier characters and look how Guilty gear turned out. A balanced game were everyone is viable and has broken shit. Its so much fun! Granted they add tools to deal with a number of characters not just one, but you get what I'm trying to say.

True. I had to hold that. But then your zoning got figured out and I've beaten you since. Including that time I bodied your whole team at Season's Beatings then the other time I bodied CoCo so bad they closed it down. Let's not forget all the times my teammates bodied you. So enjoy Deathstroke while you can. Maybe you can even get some early wins. In the end skill prevails and GGA will be your master.

I'm still very confused as to why a Kitana AND Kenshi player are being so vocal about this character. Maybe I just remember how difficult it was to approach them? Certainly never asked for them to be nerfed -- though Kenshi's armored telekinetic barrage was a little bit "brainless" -- is that the term that people use to discredit character tools?

Regardless of your stance on the subject, can we admit the "I haven't lost to X character, so hes OK" posts in general are dumb?

In MK9 there are many characters where there is only 1 or 2 people can give me problems. Obviously until I played those people, I didn't have any problems beating that character. Even then, it is from the perspective of your character, who may have specialized tools that others do not have.

Your an amazing player and probably the best batman ever but your condescending attitude is not helping at all and what you could be doing is help the community understand more by making serious videos on how to deal w ds properly.

Dealing with DS properly does not mean making video that put you in sweep range so you can punish a gun on block with a 6 frame advancing special

Making a productive video would be taking characters that dont have full screen options like aquaman and nw and show how they must progress from full screen out and how to deal with instant air head shot mixed w low guns and MB df2

I dont completely understand why you're being a dick about it towards me when in fact you could just help the community understand and fix the problem

Why havent I done this yes? Because I have been working 50-60 hour weeks for past 2-3 weeks and havent had a copy of the game at my disposal like a few and havent had time to sit at home with Thomas and spend good amount of time in the lab. But in time I will get a break and spend time but in the meantime you could be helping the community as a whole with possibly a less condescending attitude
