All the things meter is used for in Injustice?

Meter has many uses in this game it seems, which is fantastic. I think there's 6 different things you can use meter for in Injustice.

EX moves: Not really traditional EX moves, but they essentially change the property of specific special moves of a character. These cost 1 meter

Push Block: Pretty self explanatory. If someone is pressuring you with block strings, you can push block at the cost of 1 meter. This pushes them back so they're no longer on top of you.

Meter Burn on Stage Interactables: You can meter burn on some interactables to give them armor.

Armored Wall/Ground Bounces: f3 and b3 are the universal ground and wall bounces for every character. You can add armor to them by meter burning them. This costs 1 meter.

MBDC (Meter Burn Dash Cancel) Aka "FADC": You can cancel a normal into FF or BB, Meter Burn, then you can dash away, dash towards, or follow through with the wallbounce or groundbounce. This costs 2 meters.

Clash/Wager: After your first life bar has depleted, you're able to activate wager mode. You activate it while being combo'd, much like a breaker in MK9. You then wager meter, whoever wages the most meter gets a certain bonus. If you wage the same amount, neither player gets a bonus, and you end up in a neutral position with one another. Also, each player only gets one per macth.

Super: Pretty standard. Like X-Rays in MK9, or Supers in other fighters. You burn all your meter for a high damaging, cinematic attack that does good damage. Not usually worth it though, especially in a game where you can utilize the meter so much.

Is there anything else you can use meter for in Injustice?

I think people are calling push block an alpha counter but they are the same thing. In the SF Alpha games, an alpha counters was done while you were blocking and it required one bar of meter to get the opponent off of you. In most capcom games, push blocking is free and doesn't require any meter, so in Injustice, push block now cost's a meter similar to alpha counters.

B3/F3 can be given one hit of armour by pressing Meter Burn for the cost of 1 meter. Unless that's what you mean by alpha counter ..

I can't really see the advantage of dashing forward from a FADC, you can't cancel the dash and so are open to be punished. Unless the string you're FADC from has massive block advantage it looks pointless. Best used as a mixup from a punishable string, or to backdash and make your string safe (if said characters FADC is not at advantage on block).

The use of meter in this game looks to be very in depth, I like it.

It's going to be good for grapplers

Why? You can only FADC out of a string, so you will be up close anyway. Due to dashes having recovery frames, you'll be open to be punished if you dash forward while already at point blank.

Maybe if the grapplers have huge advantage on hit/block of some of their strings it could be useful.

We don't know the frames yet when you cancel a FADC. It's possible that you are adv. Either way, I still seeing gaining one hit of armor after a block string a good thing.

Skarlet who ?
Also I think Alpha Counter is what SF players were describing the pushblock as.
Excuse me, but as far as I know, Alpha Counter is a special attack you immediately do when you block to get off your opponent and damage him a bit. Push-block is just a push-block, you aren't throwing any special at your opponent.

This is the first I've heard of Alpha Counters. So it's basically just a well-timed pushblock that damages your oppponent?

.... they mostly come at night. Mostly.
Meter seems to be way more useful in this game than MK9 .... kinda .... you have more stuff to choose to use than in MK9
