Ton of info I get from listening to Chris G on stream, and some stuff I noticed him doing (2 hours in):
Ok, before I get into this, he does say that as a Capcom player he likes this game and has positive feelings about it's future but it does need some adjustments.
But first, here are his thoughts on characters:
Batman:
*Batman is ridiculous in this game according to Chris.
*Rush down game and keepaway game are incredible
*Bat-node is an incredible trait, opens up people for free and keeps people away effectively as well.
*Very ambiguous cross ups
*Exploding baterangs do a ton of damage even if your blocking and they instantly make Batman recover from attack animation.
*Dash goes far but it leaves him open
*Super has armor for some reason even though it's also a projectile
*His combo string where he plants a bomb on the ground and retreat is a high and is free pressure for little risk.
*So much more to his character, all of it good.
WW:
*A balanced character like Batman
*Game is zone heavy but Chris feels she has the tools to bypass that
*Her rope attacks are incredible
*Projectiles are decent because they create a ton of block and hit stun but they can all be ducked under
*WW's air dash is great for beating zoners and crossing people up.
*Not that much more that I can remember, Chris thinks she's really boring
Lex Luthor:
*Chris stresses that he doesn't think Lex is bad, but he just doesn't like his type of character.
*Not actually a zoner but more of a set up character. Has a ton of near unblockable set ups with his nodes and jumping 3 (jumping heavy) that he's seen people perform.
*d1 (crouching light I think) is an incredible poking tool, reaches far.
*Jumping 3 has massive range and it crosses up.
*Satellite and rocket attack (first hit) are unblockable and come down even if Lex is hit.
*Electro traps can have their throwing distance adjusted.
*Has a really good armored ramming attacking he can use in the air or ground.
*Wall bounce attack has terribad range.
*Has fast jabs.
*Lex's trait was thought to be bad but they soon discovered it was good because you can get a lvl1 version of it near instantly from dash canceling. Blocks one attack for you for free
*Overall Chris felt he was decent but he noted that he'd get blown up by characters with really good rush down, or even characters with ridiculous zoning capabilities.
*Cool tactic with Lex is to throw an electric trap behind the enemy, push block their attack so they get launched right into his shock trap.
Doomsday:
*First of all his trait isn't that great. It gives him hyper armor and not super armor. Mashing low jabs and teching throws are a semi effective counter. He still takes damage from attacks but certain things will not work on him.
*God like anti-air and anti-zoning capabilities.
*High damage potential, very fast character, throw super.
*Notes that he has low ground pound attack that creates a shockwave that's really good normally and pretty much broken in EX. In ex, it is a 2 hit attack that must be blocked high, then low in quick succession (all within 1 or 2 frames) or you getting hit. Near impossible to block online, people will complain.
Bane:
*Someone on stream asked if he was good or bad and Chris just said "Medium" without going into detail.
Deathstroke: When asked about Deathstroke Chris just says he's a very "online friendly" character and that you should just shoot and keep shooting with him.
Black Adam:
*Did not go into detail, just said he was very, very good.
Flash:
*Says he's a "disrespectful" rush down character who he calls the 'Kabal' of Injustice.
What he liked about the system:
*Thinks Wager system is balanced out by the fact that meter is SUPER important in this game. Notes that he may change his opinion though.
*No comeback factor at all. If you're losing at the beginning, you'll probably lose at the end.
*A deep game.
General system info:
*Zoning builds a ton of meter.
*Most characters have a jumping 3 that covers a ton of distance and stuffs AAs.
*Footsies DO exist in this game but there are less far reaching normals to pick from.
*Blocking will be very, very, very hard in this game. Approves of the amount of meter built from taking hits.
*Highly varied dashes.
*Says character mobility isn't an issue for the most part since attacks can get you around effectively too.
*He thinks projectiles should have a little less block stun.
*Feels environmental are good overall and should be played with but they do a little too much unavoidable damage atm.
