If being in cartoons means Grundy isn't obscure, I'd like you to look at the animated appearances she's had over the years. Most recently in the movie Superman/Batman Public Enemies as well as Young Justice.

So she's relevant to the casual audience that watches that kind of stuff.

I dunno, I understand where you're coming from. It'd be like making a say... a Final Fantasy Fighting game and putting in some random NPC, over a lead character.


But on the flip side, I don't see how people can't come to like this "random NPC" if they have a good role in the plot, and their style turns out to be interesting.

I agree, wholeheartedly. People've already gotten into various comics because of IGAU. As I said prior (I'm not sure if it was this thread, I'm pretty sure it was), this could very easily being DC drumming up a character they plan to make significant soon (for one reason or another).

I just hope that they really do make her more than the Sheeva/Baraka/Reptile of story mode. Obviously no member of the Regime, I can see how her psychopathic could cause tension and/or drama among Insurgency if she's made a member (particularly if she coldly murders. Scenarios similar to that can make her an engine for good storytelling without the need of Firestorm, despite all assertions otherwise.

I don't like Killer Frost very from what very little I've seen of her (and Captain Cold is my favourite Flash villain, mind you.). But I don't believe that there is any character in comic books that can't be made great through great writing or undone through the opposite.

lol yeah I understand the salt.

But there's been plenty of "Redo's" of characters I never cared about before. But care about them AFTER the re-do.

Never cared about Stryker, Thought he was done well in MK9(not gameplay wise)

Never cared about Lara Croft all that much, but the new re-make makes me like her.

And I thought both of these characters were pretty "bland" prior to "reboot"

Are you new here, buddy? At what point have people not bitched about the cast in this game? Every single confirm has come with a maelstrom of salt about who it should've been and why it shouldn't have been.

tbh im biased cus im just not a big fan of girls in fighters. to me its unrealisitc to think a girl could stand up to a guy in a fight. and yes i know its a video game so realism goes out the window but hey thats just me.. its like rhonda rousey fighting cain velasquez

Um... you do realize that some of them have super powers... how could they not stand up to male fighters? Wonder Woman... just as strong as superman. Killer Frost... command over ice. Nah, that won't come in handy in a fight. Etc

Thats an awful analogy, these people have super powers for cryin out loud and I promise you there are women in this world that could take out Cain Velasquez

It doesn't have to be a video game though ;) I am sure i can find a lot of girls who can put you down with the right training - maybe they don't have the same physical force in real life - but with some training they can have a flawless victory over you
And also that sounded almost sexist
