Injustice: Gods Among Us, Season Pass Announced

When do you think the first DLC character will be released?

B/C they are using DC's IP, this game has got to be drawing a larger "casual fan" audience than MK9 did. The goal being to maximize sales, I would think they would want to either get the first character out the door, or sell more of this season pass by identifying most of these four, b/f a lot of the casual fans have moved on.

I still hate the whole idea of DLC. Especially it being announced way before the game is out. They have probably already finished the work on the DLC but are just holding it out on us to make that $$$$$.
That's typically the problem with nowdays gaming industry. It's hard to decide who handles the DLC well and who doesn't.
In recent interviews they said that they will start working on the characters post release of the game, but you never know if something like that is true.
If it is then the first character should arrive 2-3 months after the release of the game. Anything sooner would be too obvious IMO, even if there's a chance that they started working on a character, but dropped it to come up with easier characters and decided to wait with that character when they have more time past release of the game. But as I said ... no one knows that for sure these days with all the bad business practice.

Why do you even believe that? I understand that we, as consumers, are fucked on the regular by producers but NRS has never done anything but promote their excellent customer service habits.

The game comes out in less than a month, its been both content and feature locked for weeks. If nothings broken, if nothing planned then these people just get to sit there with their thumbs up their asses for 40 hours a week. So do we fire them until the fans decide its okay to make more DLC or reassign them and then try to bring them back in a month?

nope, barely started working on the first one now. They will be just as good, diverse, and fun to use as the previous game's dlc.

I'll just wait and see, don't really care about those skins and most likely I won't want all 4 characters anyways.

what does who it is matter, we can make anyone play good, be different, and be fun to use. I want the dude from super stickman golf as dlc.
Of course you can.
Marvel VS Capcom did it as well with clear clone characters (Wolverine + X-23 and many others), but in a game like Injustice where the roster is more limited, it feels like missed opportunities, where you get Power Girl, who does the same like Superman, but just in a different way.

Obviously chances are higher for you guys that you'll make more money with Power Girl than with an obscure female character like Circe, who would offer a totally different playstyle with maybe seduction and demon summoning or something like that, so it's perfectly understandable, but you can't decide that other characters would offer a more unique playing experience, something everyone wants.

A good example: I dislike Street Fighter for throwing 10 Shotos per game at me, even if some of their stuff is tweaked.

I'll come back to you on that one, if Power Girl is one of these DLC characters.

PG will probably be a Superman alt, I will not agree with her being a separate character even while being a huge Superman fan.

I think they should do a "series pack" for series that have several similar characters that'd work as an Alt skin that come three/four to a pack (Zod/Supergirl/Superboy, Batwoman/Batman Beyond, John Stewart/Kyle Rayner, etc.......) and people with one similar character will have a "heroes/villains pack" bundled together.

That would be the ultimate way to cover up everyones "favorite version of a character" (or better say person who has the same powerset as the main character) and also offer more in terms of diversity when it comes to the actual roster.
I don't see a reason why they shouldn't do it.
