Joker is so far beyond just a "Batman character". He has his own merchandise and his own comic book stories written. He's got his own huge crazy fanbase.

Catwoman and Nightwing both have their own individual series currently.

Harley has her own series along with other villains called the "Suicide Squad".

The only character that's really only featured in Batman, and can be labeled a "Batman character", is Bane.

Finally, NRS has said in interviews, they don't really see people as from a certain franchise, they see them all as part of the DCU. They don't say to themselves, "alright, only 5 from this franchise, and make sure we get 2 from this other franchise". They just pick who will best meet their requirements for the initial roster.

I mean, it makes sense to have a lot of representation from the Batman and Teen Titan franchises. Those are DC's/WB's most popular properties (the Titans show was uber popular and is even getting brought back from the dead).

Uber popular amongst those who watch cartoons (not saying it's a bad thing, I watch a lot) but I have never seen much more than hate for it from comic book fans. Personally it's Beast Boy I have an issue with, I'm really happy about his 52 characterisation because he seems a bit older, a little more capable and not constantly pathetically mooning over a girl.

She and Jason did not do any thing except kiss(only for Starfire to get more information) but other then that he thinks of her like a sister. I think the memory thing was her lying or them ditching that whole idea cause she remembers Dick's name and she tried to avoid him in the recent issue when the outlaws visited Wayne's mansion.
