I had never heard of Ares before he was talked about in that one injustice article.

I'd say he's obscure. Comic fans will know him... but people who don't follow comics (like me) won't.

I hope he's in though, cause he sounds like a badass. And looks fucking cool.

I read a pretty decent amount of comics but not Wonder Woman so they talked about him and I was like "dafuq is that?". But yeah he sounds pretty badass.

Ares himself isn't obscure. He's the freaking God of War! Now, in relation to DC? Yeah, obscure.

Grundy has actually made a lot of appearances in the DC cartoons. I think that combined with his appearance in Arkham City makes him fairly well known with people nowadays.

You cant say "No one would not know them if they weren't in ___" because... they were in that lol.

But that's flat-out wrong. Bane was pretty popular beforehand. Solomon Grundy? Not so much. Did TDKR make Bane more popular? Certainly, but he was well-known before that.

What about hawkgirl? Where would she be without the justice league? Was Green Arrow popular before his TV show? They are not obscure if they are only known for one thing, because that one thing made them not obscure.

Why people thinks that Killer Frost would replace Captain Cold? We had Sub-Zero and Cyber Sun-Zero in MK, so what's the big deal if we have two different ice characters? Besides, if Killer Frost is in, then Firestorm should be in too. And that would be awesome.

Because there are far more interesting characters than both of them with different powers. Why put in the same powers with such an expansive universe?

The same thing applies. If Martian Manhunter/Dr. Fate aren't in the game, they'd be faaaar better choices than Captain Cold and Killer Frost.

We really only need one ice character(and I'm biased, I don't want any ice characters lol)

This.Believe it or not but I was palnning on making P4 my first competitive game.I did not enjoy the game in the slightest and didnt even bother to finish the story.I have faith in NRS but if the game is bad I wont even bother with the game even if I love the characters.

As for Ares he will probably be a boss(a badass one at that).I think he may be the catalyst and the one responsable for the whole "How does Batman survive being punched towards space?" plot device.You see since Ares feeds on conflict and what better way than to constantly push the battle between The Regime and The Insurgency?He probably uses magic to give both sides an equal chance of victory.

Again, comic people, no one is obscure by comic fan standards because every character has some kind of forum and virtual pornpit dedicated to their presence.

I'd say Ares fits the bill as legitimately obscure. I'd never heard of him. On top of that, I didn't even know there was a Wonder Woman movie. So then I Googled that shit and realized the movie in question is a straight-to-DVD animated feature. Yeah, spoiler alert: nobody watched that.

A comic book fan will probably know all about Ares. Literally everyone else on the planet will probably have no idea. I knew all about Wonder Woman (namely how she started as the Justice League's secretary, lulz) but I couldn't name any of her villains before I came back here and everyone was like "CIRCE CIRCE ARES ARES RAAAAAAWWWRRRRRGGGG."

Point is, Ares' inclusion will send a lot of people to Wikipedia.

Hotspot of the Teen Titans is the only one I can think of. They've also got Atomic Skull, a Superman villain, or the aptly named Fire, a re-occurring member of the Justice League. I could even see Martian Manhunter's greatest enemy, Ma'alefa'ak J'onzz, using some fire-based Martian magic if Martian Manhunter himself appears. They kind of stay away from fire based people I guess.

If they use Terra, they don't have to pay attention to her being dead. This is their own universe with its own events. Also, they can use TV show Terra's personality and appearance if they wanted to. DC still owns the show and they could easily bring that version of Terra into the Injustice continuity. Just saying.

Seriously. Granted, it's been a long fucking time since I've used Windows, but can't you still just go Webpage -> Right Click -> View Source?

Probably should've just titled that shit "scrtchrctr.filetype"

Hardly mad about it. It was either any dipshit finding out way sooner or having to wait god knows how long for a confirmation of a character that every goddamn person following this game's progress already knew was in.

Anyone remember when the guys at NR were saying that they were going to put in obscure characters from the dc universe and show them love? Not one obscure character yet. So far we have the most famous dc characters there are. All that's missing is manhunter (that would complete the justice league cartoon), raven/star fire(to finish the titans), black canary/zatanna (to finish the most popular dc women heroes), and as for villains the most famous left are Brainac/cheeta (which catwoman stole a spot from)/ Grodd (background along with darkseid) .
Obscure characters like booster gold,Metamorpho ,red tornado , and mirror master would be badass in a game like this.

P.s. Grundy was in the super friends show , justice league cartoon (big episodes including one that got him close to Hawkgirl), arkham city , and the most popular batman stories the long Halloween ,dark victory . I actually know a 55 year old woman at my job who doesn't read comics who knows who he is. Not very obscure.
