Confirmed: PDP is producing Injustice: GAU Fightstick from Battle Edition

I switched my pre-order to this package yesterday at Gamestop. I already have a MadCatz SCV Soul Edition stick that I modded the artwork on and switched to a Feng Wei theme that I LOVE. Best stick I've ever used. I really think I'm getting this just to look at how pretty it is. Haha. I know I'll never use it....but it LIGHTS UP!!!

Maybe some friends who come over will use it. I don't know. It's a stick with Batman on it. Take my money.

Bitching about things doesn't make you a designer or provide a "solution" as you seem to think it does. Also, I like how you came in the thread rambling about MK9 training mode and how it relates to the Injustice fight stick. I am amazed you are not a Jade main by now.

Interpret it as whatever you feel like dude, all I'm saying is that it seemingly looks like the first step as to confirming NRS has essentially taken nothing from the heavily reiterated feedback they've been given. Granted, maybe 16 Bit's let you in on some things I'm not aware of, that's none of my business.

And unlike the Jade forums, Digimon, or whoever else, I'm well aware of the repercussions of the character I play in MK9 and don't have some weird sense of entitlement (although funnily enough it never was adequately explained why Scorpion has a solid D1 yet a practically useless D3 and D4), I make a post for everybody's collective behalf and knew I was treading on extremely delicate eggshells doing so, but I all got was shit shoveled back in my face? At least I know where I stand now.

And it's ironic considering this all stemmed from Paulo's completely obnoxious assumption that the stick is frowned upon because it's not made by Madcatz in the first place.

not gonna replace my OG 1st run SF4 TE stick for 360. unless this one came dual modded. if i ever get another stick it'll be an Eightarc since those work with both systems out the box. the synthesis one looks pretty dope too.

That's not at all what he implied.

He mentioned Madcatz because they were a shit company that made awful products until Markman showed up like Jesus and saved the day.

He meant not to judge it based on PDP's past products.

That said, I don't agree with him, have had horrible luck with every single product I have used by them, all the way back to N64 days when they were Pelican, and they got no Markman.

I could care less about who's manufacturing the stick, the principal at hand from a community perspective is that you claimed that you've been busting your asses off to rectify all the areas where MK9 was frowned upon yet you're already encouraging everybody to buy the same horseshit stick they almost unanimously despised 2 years ago? Yeah, sounds real promising lol.

I guess they should look forward to booting up Injustice and telling them it's powered by Gamespy. And then go into training mode, force themselves to fight the AI because there's no defensive functions and end up getting a 44 frame spinning hook kick trying to poke out of block strings.

They should also look forward to online modes desyncing when they use alternate costumes and the announcer you've hired not knowing how to count past 3. :)

Well I'm getting the stick. The only issue I had was the button layout but other than that I was cool with it. I already have the doom movie and will have the comic.

I'm no stick modder but didn't the MK one have MAJOR modding issues? Like, it was really hard to do or something?

I forget what the complaints were... but I was hoping it was Madcatz who was making the stick. Oh well, the stick looks amazing... hopefully it suits!
The only major issue I am aware of is taking off the plastic panel underneath the top panel. It has something like 16 screws driving it into the top. Honestly, if the PDP guys used either Happ or the much preferred Industrias Lorenzo parts the only true reason to mod the stick would be for art or maybe getting rid of the hinge and closing the box shut.

Currently it looks like a JLF with Bat top, with clear Seimitsu buttons and the Namco Noir or Astro City Layout.

Pretty hot.

The buttons were my main concern. I think I also heard the stick and gate had issues on the PDP.

All that said, sticks needing aesthetic mods are understandable. No company is gonna please everyone with their design. I modded the crap out of my stick, lol (plug: http://i128.photobucket.com/albums/p196/The_King_of_the_Otters/Smoke-Arcade.jpg). It's when a consumer HAS to mod because the parts aren't quality. That's what's bothersome.
that Smoke design is awesome :D

but yeah i agree. the Madcatz SE sticks had this problem, but they were at least relatively cheap.

NRS.

Just drop this 'american parts for an american game' obsession... please. (althouhg this stick does look like it may be using seimitsu buttons)

I brought the Mk9 PDP stick. It was terrible and did not even have real Happ parts as was claimed. So I modded it with IL part's and it became marginally better... marginally. Still crap.

So, what did I do? SF4 TE, swapped in a Madcatz MK kombat panel (the layout is amazing and 100x more ergonomic than the standard MK layout.) and it was awesome. never looked back and would never look at a pad again for that franchise.

Drop PDP, get eightarc or ettokii to make you Japanese style sticks for your games, keep the bat tops if you must... Also I think NRS should buy the patent for the mk layout from madcats it's really that much better than the standard one and still feels like MK

I really hate how the layout is curved though. PDP did it nice and kept everything straight.

the Qanba Q2 American Style stick has that straight button layout. that would be a great quality stick that's also on the cheap (about $130)

EDIT: on the Eightarc website, it's actually marked down to $100, so for that you get a quality stick with a Standard button layout. (it's only for PS3/PC though, so keep that in mind)

Nucking Futs!

Love me some arcade sticks!
Looking forward to more info on this stick especially which manufacturer they're using for the components! I'm very surprised they're using the Namco Noir button layout. My gut feeling is that they're using a Sanwa JLF with a bat-top & OBSC buttons although the pricing structure says otherwise since those buttons & JLF cost $60+ (retail price) by themselves. That would mean the case (& everything else in it) is essentially $30 since the game's $60. Then again, all speculation on my end.

BTW, I'm the one that started this topic/thread on SRK & there seems to be interest on that forum for this stick too assuming the components are Sanwa or Seimitsu.

Nope, not to my knowledge :/

Ah, guess we'll have to wait a little longer for the specs.
Fuck da haters, I'm getting my stick son!
It all depends what you want the stick for. If its for collecting then by all means go for it. But if you're planning on using the stick to compete it would be wise to see what the specs are, that way you know if it's worth the 90$ investment or not. With a couple of bucks more you can get a very good stick.
