Was bout to do it today, good stuff. Lets hope this thread goes from ghost town to actually poppin lol

I'm in the northern VA area. I know there is a place in fredericksberg called gamepad that holds SSF4 and Marvel tourney every friday, or they used to. I don't know how many people are close to that area but we can definitely see about getting there for some casuals or setting up a weekly tourney if we get enough people interested. There is also a place here in woodbridge called GameParlor, I know they do a lot of card and table top gaming but I wonder if we brought our own set up if they would let us do something weekly there.

I'm assuming I'm not overstepping any boundaries by posting these here. Mortal Kombat is part of the fighting game community as much as Tekken, Blazblue, or Arcana Hearts, right?

We've had Mortal Kombat setups the last few nights, but bringing a setup yourself (TV and a system) is highly recommended and a huge help.

Please call ahead of time to let them know you are coming and get the address and directions if necessary.

Hey, I'm currently going to college at ODU in SoVa. I've actually been doing some hosting for a month or two now, playing mainly Arcana Heart, BlazBlue, and other fighters that generally don't seem very popular in the area. MK9 is probably going to become a regular here as well, as we were playing it last night and seems a lot of fun. Hopefully the game has legs.

Oh, I live 5 minutes away from that Gamepad (when I'm not at college, anyway). I haven't actually played games there myself, though. I'll be back there in a few weeks if I'm not taking summer classes, so we should see if that place is interested in MK9 at all.

Sounds like a plan to me, I'll try to give them a call sometime this week to see if something is already set up and if not what we have to go about doing to set something up.

"PSN Update

+ Posted by Patrick Seybold // Sr. Director, Corporate Communications & Social Media

I know you are waiting for additional information on when PlayStation Network and Qriocity services will be online. Unfortunately, I don’t have an update or timeframe to share at this point in time.

As we previously noted, this is a time intensive process and we’re working to get them back online quickly. We’ll keep you updated with information as it becomes available. We once again thank you for your patience."
