P!
I haven't read this thread past page 1 but I'd appreciate if we keep the gun debate to a minimum in this thread. Thanks!
Seriously. This shit needs to stop. My condolences to the families that lost their children/loved ones in this tragedyYou cannot smoke weed but can buy a gun.
And if this fool's name had been Muhammad something something, we would have invaded another Middle Eastern country by Monday.
This country is run by idiots.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wonkblog/wp/2012/12/14/nine-facts-about-guns-and-mass-shootings-in-the-united-states/Making guns illegal won't stop people from owning guns illegally. There are a shit ton of illegal things people do just because they can get awayy wih it. Owning a gun would fall under that category. They should have stricter laws on who should own a gun but not take away the rights. The person who did this should have died at the scene. Making him suffer for what he did won't make us any different than he is. At the end if the day he will be dead so make it as quick as possible. Wasting time and money on low lives like him is useless. Use that money to help those who are at a loss.
That article has me all kinds of confused, so it was the Ryan's brother...
You're skewing the statistics. Switzerland has the 2nd highest suicide-by-gun rate in the world (second only to the United States, and only by a small margin). Japan outlaws the possession or use of any weapons whatsoever.Switzerland has the highest gun ownship in the world and yet it is also one of the safest countries in the world.
Japan/Korea have strong gaming industries that are so big that they get televised and yet their crime rates are lower than the U.S.
So its obvious that guns and video games do not kill people. Can we stop trying to push an agenda and realize that people kill people? Maybe if you fix the morals of the people, you'll fix part of the problem. Brb going to play a game where I'm a half-demon half-human hoodlums that shoots people all day and slices motherfuckers all day.
Having a gun doesn't increase your chances to kill yourself. It just gives you another option of how to kill yourself. You're skewing the statistics. Wrong again. http://www.hsph.harvard.edu/news/press-releases/2007-releases/press04102007.htmlHaving a gun doesn't increase your chances to kill yourself. It just gives you another option of how to kill yourself.
I'm watching a live update, and they are saying that originally, the media identified Ryan Lanza as the shooter--this was incorrect. They are now saying, it is his brother, Adam Lanza that was the shooter. He apparently stole his brother's ID. There's also a second crime scene--I think there was another body found there.I am not sure what's going on with the Facebook thing, but I wouldn't be surprised if some idiot media person searched the name and put it out. It seems like it's a race now with media. Ridiculous...
I think about weird things though. Like that could be the actual gunmen playing off what he did. But didn't the news say the gunman was dead?? And there was a second gunman???? So confusing...
"Strongly Suggest", doesn't prove. You also act like harvard studies haven't been wrong before. But even then your whole point doesn't have any merit. Having a gun does not increase violence towards others. So what if Switzerland likes to blow their heads off, atleast they aren't shooting each other. Doesn't change the fact that Switzerland is safer than majority of the 1st world countries.
