I think the Smoke mirror is dumb so I just normally pick Cage in that MU, but overall I think the mirror is an important MU that people need to learn.

Some mirrors are annoying, which are the ones that take away your tools.

For example, the Kitana mirror.

It's all about who can zone best and by best I mean whoever is one the p1 side of the screen

I don't care for mirrors, particularly the Shang mirror. It is really awkward because Shang cannot zone Shang for long due to the SS, while the SS can be blown up by dashing in with a normal or jumping. If the SS lands, the match can be over QUICK. It is really stupid. I don't mind other mirrors though, especially the Liu and Smoke matchups. Since I play the mirror (in some form) of every character, I can tell you that the least useful morph is probably Sub Zero, especially if you are down on life. Scorpion is also really awkward because for a few seconds, there is no character on screen that has footsie tools.

I love them. So far all sindel mirrors I have won all of them like total matches in a series. I love facing sindel mirrors because I love zoning battles. people bitch about Freddy, but I love facing m2dave s Freddy. Freddy vs sindel is just fun as hell to play

Lao mirrors are one of the most fun things in the game. fast, high-flying spinning, hatting awesomeness.
Kitana mirrors are fun too, FANS EVERYWHERE!
I dont get why people hate sub mirrors, it's like a frosty chess match.
I just realized i want to learn cage because cage mirrors will inevitably feel like a bar brawl. nut punches and kicking people in the face

but now that i think of it lao has a low hitbox, so that's a bad matchup for lao

Mirror matches don't prove anything except it shows you know how to play against your character. Nothing more nothing less.

Mirror matches dont necessarily prove whos better with a certain character.

Its at this point where it comes down to who the greater player is. Finally lol.
Maybe mirrors are just a match of fundamentals, really.

Jax mirror matches are one of the most fast paced and relentless ways to play Mortal Kombat. Cage mirror matches end up being "whicheverCagegetsbaitedintoaB3" or whichever one's face gets tickled with f3 shenanigans for the win.

Smoke- fun, slow or fast paced depending on playstyle. Counter poking nightmare. Until I played wafflez I never realized how crippling it is to let smoke into poking range.

Reptile- I personally enjoy this one. Dont blink and make sure to win that counter zoning battle.

Kitana- Not a big fan of this one. I get blown up by true masters of the f21. I can zone like a motherfucker though so its aight. Once im better with her overall ill appreciate it more.

All in all I like mirrors as long as egos are left out of it.

The Sub Zero mirror is definitely the matchup I'm most confident about in the whole game. Mirrors may not prove who is better with their character overall, but it definitely shows that you're experienced against all the intricacies of your character.

mirrors are fun to play when youre trying learn from the other player,
played some ermac mirrors against Error , they were good games, but ermac mirrors are so boring!!! mainly because forcepush makes the game cheesy! its like ermacs are magnets that keep pushing each other away, lol.

aside from that it was a pretty cool playing someone who knows how the character works and escapes setups that other characters have no clue what to do.

I actually love Ermac mirrors, although I was getting a lot of dumb input errors vs you. They were intense nevertheless, haven't played the mirror since last time I played KamikazeJD. But out of all the mirrors, Ermac and Sonya are the best, because they counter themselves hard. and a small mistake is 35%+

We all get outplayed from time to time, but when they're using the same exact tools as you... That's a whole new level of salt for me.

The one good thing about mirrors from my experience is you might learn a trick or 2 about your character you didn't know. That's how I learned most of my stupid tricks, watching other people and what they do and incorporating it into my wacky style.
