I look at this MU chart and can't understand why Liu Kang isn't up there with Kitana, Cage, Jax, and so forth in that "top 10" group.

Maloc, can you elaborate on Liu Kang vs Ermac? Is your number based from low fb and iafb from outside of push? Or based off of straight up pressure? Both?

Hara Kiri!
haha, MALOC shall explain: iafb can def be used out of push range and used to beat out ermac's normal fb. Up close, liu's safe strings are a problem for ermac and in the footsies game, liu wins heavily, the only thing mac got going for him really is his damage and if he's able to get some pushes/teleports.

idk, he is EASILY top 10, some ppl just dnt want to admit that a character as easy to pick up as liu is top 10, but he is.

I think the reptile could be 5-5, yeah liu zones reptile out pretty good, but if reptile can get just one force ball in the screen he can get in. Also elbow dash can get out of his pressure. That's just my thoughts though

all opinions accepted, i got it this way from playing my bro's liu in that mu with my reptile alot and it is hard to zone like you want and you have to deal with liu's footsies as well. Reptile's real issue is he has to close the distance and he has slow normals when he gets close while liu got fast normals, which is definitely a problem. But it is a very manageable 6 4 without a doubt imo.

Nice Maloc of the Depths! Yea I've been dabbling with this monk just a wee bit in the past couple weeks. I'm sick of Reptile/Ermac zoning exploits, need to unleash some Rush hour on those vunts. Fight Fire with Fire. ;)

Exactly why I think the same now. It's not a hard, hard 4-6, but definitely in Liu's favor. What helps Reptile out is the fact that Liu has to play the match on his feet the entire time. Because Liu has really weak answers to Reptile's oki FBs, and you know what happens when this is an issue, Reptile basically will play for that one knockdown that sets everything up.

yes indeed, very manageable 6-4 for reptile. He can work liu in the corner as well when he gets him there.
