The wii u controller is a new gaming experience. The way you can use the touchscreen without pressing start for move list.etc. I'm getting wii u and zombieu when its release. The good thing whenever you play a multiplayer game fps like cod ; they can't screen watch while playing offline.

I have to admit, some of those games look pretty good. Glad that they are going back to releasing games that guys like us like to play. Liking the look of Mass Effect, Aliens, Project P and Trine.

Lol at Tekken and Heihachi getting mushroom boost.

single player was fine but it was multiplayer, now i remember correctly what i was talking about

frame rate went to trash can when 3+ played
Very good points but I wouldn't quite lump the N64 in with the shit that has followed it. The first party content alone is enough for me to say it's better than that (Star Fox 64 will forever be a favorite of mine), then you add in the RARE titles other than KI Gold (which I can say I still enjoy anyway). I honestly never noticed the Perfect Dark frame rate back then, and it hasn't ruined the game for me now. While it wasn't as good as the Playstation I definitely can't see the N64 as shit. Too many games that were crazy fun then and now are on that console.

More related to the point of the thread: Anything I can say about the Wii U has already been said in this thread. For me personally unless they make a serious effort to relate to gamers like myself instead of making gimmicky shit to plug into the console I just can't justify the purchase. I bought a Wii and over the years I've been seriously disappointed with it. Frankly it sucks to see Nintendo going further down that road, and it sucks even more with what Sony and Microsoft are going to bring to the table; which will be a continuation and an expansion of what has made them a force in the gaming market.

Yep that would be why I didn't remember the frame rate going down. It was usually only myself and maybe one friend with a whole bunch of bots in multiplayer.

The only thing bad about Perfect Dark were the graphics and the ability to duck and shoot from far away. Since the graphics were so bad you could not see anyone from far away if they were duck~shooting, and trying to hit them while they were ducking was even harder.

Other than that, the game is a 10.

Multiplayer on N64 games had to make massive sacrifices, I remember Mario Kart 64 having huge parts of the environment just "missing" in 2-4 player mode. Same with Star Fox 64.

That reminds me, remember the original Star Fox on the SNES? That game blew me away for the fact the SNES managed to create a pure 3d game at the time. Do you also remember a game on the SNES called Stunt Racer which used the same technology (FX Chip) as Star Fox, I loved the Hell out of that game, lol!

I sure as hell do, too bad it got swept under the rug by all this "DO UH BAHRUL RAWL!" propaganda on the N64.

Hell, next year is it's 20th anniversary, they should do a straight remaster of the SNES game and show these fools whats really up. But then as pointed out earlier, given the current state of F-Zero, I doubt they'd be up for it, sadly.

A new Star Fox is inevitable but imagine the amount of things they could do with a modern version of Stunt Racer?

Was you a F Zero or Wipeout man?

I'll pass on the wiiu. Got the Wii and a few games... and nothing else interesting came out. I think I have Zelda, tomb raider (which after playing it on the ps3 realized it was missing a lot) and re4 and mka. Nothing interesting came out after.

Wipeout all the way, I don't play it as much now though because it doesn't feel right without a NeGcon controller and I can't find a way to get it working on PS3 :(, I always wanted to try F-Zero GX on the Gamecube though, that said I only recently remembered the Wii can play Gamecube games so maybe I should look into that lol

Something else I forgot to ask, has it been confirmed whether or not the Wii U is region locked?
