Breakthrough I might have a way to figure out Cyrax Toasty Boost!

I was messing around recording, and confirmed a couple of things with the Toasty Boost while not using the uppercut recovery code. This video shows the Toasty Boost being done in a combo with Sub Zero, and confirms you can start the inputs for the Toasty Boost before the uppercut animation is over. I do it instantly and continue the combo before it drops. While this combo is obviously not practical because of the way it starts, I was just testing to see if you could instantly do the inputs and still get it, and as you can see in the video, Dan is not even completely off the screen when I get it. Here is the video:

Anyway, with that being said, as fast as the inputs can be put in, I definitely think this is possible in real game play, i.e. tournaments. Also, not sure who discovered the Sub Zero Toasty Boost shown in the video, but I was told it was Seapeople, Check and Konqrr, so credit to those guys for the Sub Toasty Boost find.

I can confirm Kenshi has a TB too, the "character_toasty_motion" is in his file. I've looked at Kintaro's file and he doesn't have TB, so sorry Kintaro fans LOL.

Im just reading right off the chart for the Forward inputs. I suggest you do the same to make your life easier.

Also, the method i use where i practice combos in between Toastys for a few minutes really helps take the edge off of doing all those uppercuts. Staying balanced is key. You don't want to wipe yourself out. Just something to keep in mind to make your life easier.

lol, it took a while, but the whole reason for doing it was to test how fast the inputs can be done after a normal uppercut (non quick recovery). Some people claim this could never happen in a tournament match, but I really think it can (and will). People think it can not happen in a real match because uppercuts do not happen that often, but with stuff triggering Toastys like Kabal's b121 and Reptile's enhanced db2, and a lot of other moves, it can definitely happen in a real match, and now I would bet we see it in a tournament match at MLG.

As ironic as it is, we are most likely to see a Kabal over any other character do this in a tournament match since his b121 is used so often. If someone were to lose because of that, it would be a salt factory on the losing end lol.

Thanks. It is strange, while I was testing that combo, two matches in a row, I got a Toasty with Sub Zero. When the second one happened, I did the combo. That was the first time ever I got a Toasty 2 matches in a row. I just don't get what triggers it, especially after getting it 2 matches in a row, whether it is completely random or depends on something, I have no idea.

Thanks. I'll give this one more day and keep you in mind. I'd say some of the easier inputs to make life on the vita easier.

If you want, take a look at the Toasty chart to see what's been inputted already. By tomorrow i expect a lot more to be (Maybe Wednesday too depending if college is still closed from the storm).
