Just read the MLG Rules, they don't list invincible glitch as banned

Agree that only a shithead would use this glitch, but when there are thousands on the line I think it needs to be spelled out that they can't. Last thing we need is to have the last MLG end with a big split in the community because someone used it and feels MLG is bullshit because they counted it as cheating or MLG allows it and most of the community hates them after that.

To be honest, there are millions in a bank vault but that doesnt mean im going to do what it takes to get that money.

And yeah, prepare to see MK be laughed right of MLG for good if some fool uses that.

I agree about some things being banned, but then again on the flip-side they are too controversial to derive an accurate answer to.

Playing defense against a Kabal that's keeps you crouch-blocking 80% of the match isn't exactly respectable to some people, but we still do it.

Where is that fine line defined? I can't even say myself, cuz I'm still on the fence after all this time.

I don't really get why fleshpits costume is banned when Mileena isn't even considered anywhere near top anyway, it's exactly the same as saying Cyrax's damage exploits are okay because he's still not top even with them. Granted the costume is possibly one of the worst costumes in the history of MK ever and frankly is yet another embarrassment that this game has to endure (I have made my rant about it on some thread on TYM somewhere before so I'll leave out the rest here lol), but if people want to use it to exploit the benefits of having a arguably game rule breaking hitbox, how's that any different from using unblockable bombs for a free second combo's damage with Cyrax etc? Things like the invinsibility glitch make sense to ban as it literally stops the actual point of playing game, but exploiting unblockable moves and different sized hitboxes on costumes are still in the actual game part of the game, so either ban all the in-game bs, or none of it.

I'm not, I'm just wondering why they don't appear to trust that the kommunity composed of over 10,000 MK players ....."doesn't know what's good for their own game".

It's just the same logic like "NRS deciding to make Injustice have no corners because they don't like how we trap Zoners in the corner" . LOL We HAVE to do that cuz that's only way to fight certain Zoners. We "don't like" when players want to run away and Zone. Why is there so much hate for rushdown players nowadays? NRS, us rushdown players are the ones who make your games look appealing. Those 29 hit combos you guys see come from the rushdown players. You guys actually want commercials that show 120 seconds of Fireball, fireball, fireball, Uppercut, fireball, fireball, fireball, uppercut? MvC4 anyone? I just find big flaws in these logics.

I don't see it as hating since I stated I'm "on the fence" about it, but to take that responsibility to be the determining factor is much more than it may seem. Granted if you have 2 decisions to make - half the people will be unhappy with #1 and 50% will be unhappy with #2, but we're talking things that should decided by the top 10-20 highest of high-level players, not spectators, Bro. If we were to sit here and vote unanimously that X-move should be allowed, my next step is find out who is credited to this decision.....from there if the ballet looked something like

If they say doing Smoke glitch is making you more inclined to losing, why would you A.) not listen to them and B.) would you not want it to be legal if it only increases the Smoke-opponents' chances of winning?

Good for you. Back in 1800's, the top players consisted of more than just REO, who's been the only one in favor of the glitch (and we all know he's just trolling anyway). Pretty much everyone else has been all for banning it, otherwise, you know, you'd actually hear them asking for it to be legal.

Then why are you asking ME if you obviously have have all the answers? Doesn't even make sense. Why would you ask me the opinions of other people anyway? Tbh, I could care less about the Smoke glitch, I'm just explaining that there's a process to banning and determining what's legal, and people seem to think they above it or something so I had to post this to clarify. So what exactly was it that you needed help with?

I'm generally a fan of not banning anything (I'm against the smoke parry cancel ban, and Mileena costume 3 ban) but for something you're showing to spectators I can see why this should be banned at MLG. It looks absolutely retarded to spectators. We can't expect stream viewers to understand MK players anything goes attitude.

Agreed. The Block-glitch is will make countless viewers say "Fuck this stupid POS game and watch something else"....and it will make players play something else as well if it's left legal.
