All of this Toasty hoopla

All of this toasty hoopla is some of the most impractical dramatization I've seen in my life. You would have a better shot at winning a major with Cyber Sub-Zero than pulling off a toasty boost in a tournament match. No, I am not going to cut my Kabal combos short for something that happens every once in a blue moon. It's time someone said it.

Moist.
There are players saying how it's going to change all the combo BNBs to ending in uppercut, and how it may effect the tier list. But wait, it gets better. Some have even said Dallas will now be interesting with the new toasty boost "tech".
Seems legit.

U mad cuz im stylin' on u?

This one's for you
It gives a little extra randomness to the comeback factor which could be really hype and filled with salt if somebody gets the boost in a tourney. But its not something that people can reliably set up. More like luckiness in the heat of the moment

I'm actually curious to see who will be the first to try a toasty boost stunt in MLG dallas before they get murdered by kabal.

I thought we were just finding them because it was a random cool thing to know about the game. Testing for Jade's toasty boost I see "Toasty" maybe once in 50 uppercuts. No way it's worth cutting a combo short for something that is that dependant on chance.

Just some bees, please.
I don't think the excitement has anything to do with tournaments... it's just cool to know.

Exactly. As I said in another thread, I'm interested to see if anyone DOES use it in a tournament, but it's definitely not going to change much at all, if anything. How could something so random redefine how the game's played? Definitely not worth shortening combos to try for it lol, surely everyone worth their salt at this game knows that. But I'm pretty sure MOST people interested in it are just looking for them koz it's cool and fun to work out, and it's nice to know your main's toasty bonus for that once in a blue moon time that it does come up.

just like the shake glitch would never happen in tournament play?

who cares dude, it's still worth knowing

also why tf would you end a kabal combo with uppercut instead of f4 to try to get toasty... that's just fucking stupid. he can get toasty off of b121, you don't need to cut anything short, if you're lucky you can get toasty boost off his launcher

LEGEND

YES!
how hard is it to input bbd4 2 seconds after a giant ass face pops up on your screen?! This basically the same as an old MK fatality

The only character in the game that ends combos with uppercuts without sacrificing any damage is Mileena. She is possibly the only character in the game this could ever work for.
