I had decided when I originally posted that if Madzin gave back the money in order to make the redo happen I would leave my offer on the table since I already committed to using it for this. Then Lulzlou said some real heartfelt shit and now I'm definitely going through with it. So if Madzin gives back the money it'll be $500 tournament cause I'm putting my money in anyways. Hype!

I'm just really happy to be apart of this community and would love for everyone to come together again. The other streams aren't the same since there are only a handful of people that show up. With the tournament its only the community having fun playing mk. Thats what I love seeing since I can't get to tournaments out of state currently. Its as close to offline as I'm going to get.

Anyway, I'm going to sleep now. Thanks for your support reno. If I had the money I would do the same thing. Things are a bit tight right now so all I can do is help in other ways.

i wasnt saying to wait for the redo, just that because there's already something in the works that might ammount to the same thing, waiting 12 hours wouldnt hurt, especially considering the results of this poll. Either way Reno_Racks is doing an extremely generous thing for the community as is @Son of Timett. Though waiting 12 hours will make clear the details of this endeavor and whether there will be a pig tourny AND a reno/son tourny or if they'll collab. we need the details of the other one first though, and pig politely promised to give them tomorrow.

I wasn't going to play because this whole situation left a bad taste in my mouth. I guess if I look at the bright side, it was awesome chillin with you guys in the chat. I never knew who Khaotic was up until this tournament, and it was fun getting to know and watching you all play.

I'll definitely enter this if you guys are still down to do it. Quite honestly, I wouldn't even care if it didn't have money in it. As long as it was just as fun as the last time.

And no disrespect to Madzin, but definitely make this region locked. As much as I'd love to play them, its a terrible connection.

Actually the timing is what, i think, makes a redo problematic because in order to go to something like MLG you have to do everyhting in advance for it to be even reasonably affordable. plaine tickets/van or car rental, hotel booking, buying passes, food allocation, and so on. therefore doing a redo this late (september is basically over, that means it's one month before or less. prices are about to skyrocket) is very problematic because of how expensive stuff will be by the time it's done. i find it unlikely that this will be doable next weekend because people will likely have plans. MAYBE the weekend after that but that's really pushing it.

The problem is, Espio, Sinh3ll, Khaotik, Krayzie, and Chris Friday were all knocked to losers.

Any one of them may not have been knocked to losers if REO wasn't playing, so the entire tournament would have been different. I honestly believe those players got screwed.

But then again, taking away Madzin's win is also screwing him... so really, REO or Marvaz should pay Madzin and everyone else should get the redo. In a perfect world, of course.

If you guys approve I would like to put up the $250 pot myself and do a redo of the entire tournament. If Madzin wants to keep the money he earned he should but then all the other players in the tournament who want to have a fair shot will have no money to compete for. So the money's gotta come from somewhere, might as well be me. Plus I think it would be pretty awesome to see what would have happened if Reo had not played last night. IMO this time the tourney should be region locked even though I would love to see Madzin's godlike Noob do some work again. You guys speak on this and as soon as Pig gives me the go ahead I will pay Hatake Osawa and they can reorganize this thing. On a side note I want to see Dink's Baraka and Madzin's Noob duke it out in a "Battle of the Godlike Low tiers", that shit would be great.​

I'm really amazed we have people like this that are willing to help turn a negative around. I hope that the winnings go to getting someone to Dallas or another major though, that's a big part of why I entered was just to support in some way.

I can't even decide if I want to compete again or not if it happens. Online as a whole has been really shitty lately. I don't have anyone to play with regularly that has a consistent good connection with me. So many players lacking respect and abusing online bullshit when I'm there to learn mu's. Since I can't level up anymore from it whats the point in playing online still?

I only read the first page, but imo it's a completely stupid idea that Madzin should just get it and the tournament should not be redone. Yes, I understand that Madzin beat REO so it seems like it shouldn't matter, but that doesn't tell the whole story. There are so many factors you have to take into account, such as the psychological effect of being on the losers side and the people who could've potentially beaten Madzin but never got the chance because marvaz/reo fucked up the bracket (i.e., Krayzie was sent to losers by marvaz/reo, beat Bodybag-Vinloko there, and lost to Madzin. If it weren't for marvaz/reo, Krayzie could've stayed in winners and there's a chance Bodybag-Vinloko could have beaten Madzin). This isn't a single-elim tournament, the point is that you get winners and losers. Saying "they lost to Madzin in losers anyway" shouldn't mean anything.

Also, imagine if someone like Khaotik or Krayzie stayed in winners and made it to grand finals (which they couldn't do because of marvaz/reo). The point is that if you're in winners, you get two ft3 sets to win. Even though both these players were eliminated by Madzin, who's to say they wouldn't have won the reset in a grand finals situation?
