I think the issue here is that we're using two different standards for judging two different tournament rules. In double elimination, each match against someone is its own set, standalone, regardless if you've played the person or not. The only exception to this is the potential bracket reset in GF. I understand the sentiment that you may have "technically" won more matches against said person, but you need to win when it COUNTS. MLG just makes every win count that much more if you run into that person again. I don't fully agree with it for fighting games, but if starcraft and halo can't change it, we've a snowball's chance in hell of doing so. It is what it is, and its over now so....
