Look, I play Mileena to cover some MUs. I feel a lot more comfortable with her than with Sonya, Kit or Quan against Jax and Kabal.
Why Sub? I've always viewed that MU as 5-5. And I think KL is worse at 7-3 in favor of Lao. She can't do anything at all he can't deal with. If he is ahead on life and isn't reckless it's over.
Than your not playing Sonya right. Sonya does ALOT better vs Jax than Mileena does. Mileena does do better vs Kabal than Sonya does because of Mileena hitbox and her anti-zoning tools. But that MU is still in Kabals favor. What Jax players are you playing? Jax should not lose to Mileena. Sub is tough when the player knows how to fight Mileena. Mileena cant do shit in the corner. If sub just throws ice balls all day than yeah mileena can win but you dont need to throw a projectile at her ever. Just walk towards her. Theres nothing she can do about it.
Everything she has is average, decent, though her counterzoning and whiff punishing is very good, she screams midtier to me, I used to play her for a bit, but she annoys me now(not because of her tools, the character).
Her whiff punishing is ok. She can only whiff punish with roll. But if you hesitate or anything you can get blown up. Hard to whiff punish pokes with roll too. Roll is mainly used as an AA since none of her normals AA that good. I can see this character falling in the bottom 10.
I use Mileena against Kabal. I see this MU as a 5-5. She forces him to come in, and he can use, like, 10% of his rushdown against her.
i think sindel maybe, because i put sindel at top 20. sindel would be so much better with armor. the only thing sindel doesnt have is a way to get in, but that doesnt matter because sindel forces you to come in, so she doesnt need any form of teleportation
I still think Kabal beats Mileena slightly. Mileena can really only roll or poke his F+3 rushdown. You cant telekick iAGB on reaction. You only can if the Kabal player is an idiot and is just spamming it. This MU is still 4-6 but its a lot better than Sonya/Kabal. Just learn the MU vs Kenshi and level up your Sonya. Its slight disav but very winnable for Sonya.
For Kenshi... Lao. Kung Lao is the only character I feel confident fighting Kenshi with.
I honestly use Cage against Kenshi. I still struggle, but I can at least whiff punish his SC consistently. And when I'm in, i'm more likely to stay.
A patient Kenshi isn't going to whiff that shoulder charge in my experience. But if you feel most comfortable with Cage go for it. It's probably a bad MU for Cage with all that armor on Kenshi's side.
The tough part is, even if you bait the armor, you're still at disavantadge when you block it.
I don't want to gripe about Kenshi because I like the character. I main Sub Zero though so Kenshi is pretty much my nightmare. Kenshi IMO, is the second best character in this game and I think time will make that apparent. If he isn't second he's third and I would only really accept an argument for Sonya over him. To get slightly back on topic for this reply though I feel like Cage is reduced to the same thing as Sub is which is making a good read to jump over or armor through something to finally get in. Cage stays in better though so I would say I think he only loses it 4-6. It's doable.

I just got a tip from a player yesterday that instead of holding down and hitting 1 into a special that tapping down 1 into special works better. Poof that works way better then what I have been doing. It's sad that I didn't know this already

When a top tier character is the only type of character giving mileena a problem it doesn't put mileena in the bottom tier.

I just cant see only Mileena doing well. WB was my first tournament where I placed and even that tournament I was mainly Sonya but just used Mileena vs MUs that I didnt know how to fight with Sonya yet like CD Kit and Chris G Noob and Sabin Reptile. I did place top 8 at WB with mainly using Mileena but FR is really when I was all Sonya. I only used Mileena vs Kabal.
