Is Freddy Krueger a Top 5 Character?

Sorry for saying this, but sektor sektor has less bad matchup than half of the characters you mentioned on this list.
Sektor has less bad matchups than cyrax, less bad matchups than Kitana, Than Cage, Kung Lao,( Raiden skarlet) these 2 might not even be top 15, sektor is definetely top 10 or close to top 5, none of these above are really bad matchups. Not even Sonya, smoke is the only one that comes to be a bad matchup, but it is not that bad really, the dash nerf affected him on his chasing

Sektor is a solid character but I think he sits at around 12th. The characters I think are better than Sektor are Kabal, Kenshi, Sonya, Cage, KL, Freddy, Kitana, Jax, Smoke, Cyrax, Skarlet.

Sorry for not siding with you, but sektor is a better tier than Cage, Cyrax, Skarlet, Kunglao and possibly kitana

I realise this isn't addressed to me but I would like to answer this as well. This is advantage Sonya imo but I don't think it is a fucked up match. 6-4 Sonya I'd say. The corner is a huge problem for Sektor but he has enough tools mid screen to negate Sonya's footsies somewhat and keep it respectable. Sektor's amazing footsies game is why he is a great character in a game that emphasises footsies. He always has the tools to protect himself.

This is a matchup riu48 and i play a bunch, sonya definitely can lockdown any sektor that doesn't have a lot of experience against her, but after understanding sonya footsies, and rushdown the sektor will dominate the fight, last night i was playing against riu 48 sonya and he was beating me using a diff technology but i adapted quick and then we were beating each other pretty much evenly, but most of the time i dominate the matchup

Sektor 6 frame jab is good vs Sonya block strings so Sonya has got to watch out for that. I just cant see Sektor beating sonya. Maybe if Sonya is just jumping around and being predictable with throwing rings I can see Sektor winning. But if each character know the MU i think Sonya beats Sektor pretty convincingly. Not to mention Sonya can take 50% of Sektors life on a blocked ITU. Sonya can bait that with a standing 2. All risk for Sektor.

I understand that Sektor's flamethrower and B1 are big in this match-up but what happens when Sonya gets in. Plus she has a better zoning tool and has a great corner game. She can pressure Sektor on wake-up and he has to be careful with missiles. What makes you think Sektor can win? Not questioning you man, but curious to know.

Interesting, I'd love to run games with your Sektor than. I never felt dominated in a Sektor match. Your the only Sektor out there I havent fought yet. I really do wanna see how you fight Sonya. Maybe your just beating RIU48 in a bad MU? Comparing the tools Sonya has to win this MU.

Don't understimate my experience against sonya, is not easy to lock down my sektor, i'm very patience and always counter poke, and push her back enough to keep playing my game, i'm not saying i will beat you for sure, but i don't think it will be easy for you either, ask riu48 how much i know how to fight any sonyas

Agreed the only debatable 3-7 might be Smoke. But I don't think so. I might need to make updates to my Sektor match-up chart though. Tell me what you think of it anyways...

i agree with maxter 100% the sektor matchup at best for sonya it is 5-5 i really do not think sonya has the advantage on this matchup and i personally think that if sektor player are having problems with sonya players is because they are been 2 predictible with sektors attacks and the sonya players are taking advantage of it.

@death this does not mean sektor doninate sonya . . .we as a community need to stop looking every thing in black and white . . . some time a character having a disadvantage does not = having a hard time

Definitely play against death, cuz thats the person I'm having problems with. When we play, granted its online, it ends up being around 7-3 in terms of wins.
