TYM/CMK/UMK Tournament Feedback Thread

I'm making this thread specifically for the players in which TYM/CMK/UMK made it possible for them to go to an offline tournament.

If we were the reason or if we somehow helped out with you getting to and from the tournament, please post some details for future members to see that we are truly here to make a difference.

TYM/CMK/UMK user and TYM Lead Moderator 9.95 aka Phil held a fundraiser for Krayzie Bone and Myself in order to "sponsor" us for NECXI. A bunch of members from not only here on TYM, but CMK and UMK as well all chipped in to this fundraiser. So in a sense, the whole community came together to help me actually get to Philly for NECXI. Unfortunately Bone couldn't make it.

TYM/CMK/UMK user and TYM Lead Moderator Dark_Rob actually picked me up from the Airport. Not only did he do that, but he let me stay in his hotel room free of charge along with a few other people. He also brought me back to the Airport after the tournament was over. Keep in mind, he didn't have to do ANY of this. He did it out of kindness, I wouldn't have been able to go to NECXI without Rob!

TYM/CMK/UMK user AC1984 aka Simon drove me to get food both days while I was at NECXI. He also got food for others, if it weren't for him I would have starved the whole weekend!

I thank each and every person who made my trip possible. It certainly means a lot, and it was an amazing experience!

That's from friends/community are for and I am just sorry that you and I didn't get to talk/hang out as much as I would've liked to. We WILL get you to ECT as well.

Dude, the only time I was worried was my first time flying, and I was nervous playing in the tournament. Other than that, I KNEW you guys would come through for me. My friends and family thought I was crazy for trusting people I've never met before, well they definitely understand now why I was so confident. I am a pretty good judge of character and integrity, so I knew everything would work out. In fact, when I went to Final Round last year in my own state, I was 10x more nervous than I was at NECXI. I didn't know anyone at Final Round, and it just wasn't an overall great experience because of that.

Shock bought me a 12 dollar burger when i got there (Good lord)
Shock drove me home from philly
Shock bought me Roy Rogers on the way home from Philly (Again, good lord. This guy is too good)
Shock also provided a splitters for the tv when it wasnt working properly. (That was HUGE)

Phil for his everlasting support, thick and through. Needs no words.

Nit for being such a cool guy and making me feel comfortable on the way there, sitting down for dinner, introducing me to many folks.

Dark Rob for providing brand new pads for non-stick players.

Dan - Basically sponsored me there the whole time and even bought my entrance fee into the tournament. 25 Dollars out of his pocket for me. UMK was also 5 Dollars.

Dan for providing a room, CRT, consoles, and rides everywhere whenever we needed.
Dan also providing those delicious Diet Cokes.
Dan also buying me dinner Saturday night.

Storms for providing the room Saturday night.
Storms for building a lot of hype for NEC, including offering me interviews and whatnot, which also enticed me to wanna go there.
Storms everlasting support in general.

Riu for help paying for the room as well as providing consoles, games, and memory cards.

THTB for providing a WII for everyone to try MKA WII out.
