Hmm, good job!

in another thread in the rain section someone said that his D1 is 5 frames, so i quess he was wrong.

his 3 into RH combo's right?

Thanks alot.

XXZ if you don't mind me asking a favor again, how much advantage does he have off of a D1 on hit? What about his behind teleport thing, is that punishable?

He actually seems to have more than average, I've noticed this for a long time.

I'd like to know too XXZ.

Also a big thank you for doing Rain's frame data, we've needed this for a long time man; great work.

Death is my business
XXZ can you check at how much advantage disadvantage is d3 on block / on hit? ( pleeease )

If it's +3 on hit Rain should have a guaranteed 3 after it wich would be good.

Somberness

Lights
-12 for block and -2 for hit. Pretty bad I must say.

Also, it takes 1 frame extra to do a standing attack from crouch so it would need to be +4.

The fuck? Thats terrible lol What is the advantge on hit when it hits a crouching opponent? Seems like you get more frame advantage that way.

so considering all of this what are this characters frame traps cause i see almost nothing positive on block for him

You can try to frame trap with an upper cut... but it has a lot a of push back so that's not really a great option. Other wise Rain doesn't really have any frame traps, at least not on block... :p

so rain is basically a character who needs someone to hit buttons in order to succeed am i right? hmm i think i might really like playing him more now

Sounds like you're confusing blockstrings with frametraps. Maybe you aren't, but almost all the characters in this game don't really have legitimate frame traps. Atleast outstanding ones besides Cage. Then again if you want to win with any character, relying on frame-traps only more than likely won't work.

So to answer your question. I guess?

i was just wondering like well you know how scorpion has 1,1 1 1,1,1 frame traps does rain have anything like that

Yeah you definitely mean block strings or pressure strings, because Scorpions 111 string is not a frame trap. Rain has his round house cancels for pressure and mix ups. Check out UsedForGlues Rain guide stickied to the top of the Rain forums. It will tell you all you need to know! :)

Smarrgasm

What's a Smarrgasm?
Now there is, updated it so that you can figure it out. Take the minimum duration (23) and subtract it from the cancel advantage to figure it out. Here it is for his normals on block:
1 - -4
1,1 - +1
1,2 - -3
2 - +2
2,4 - -1
3 - -8
3,3 - -5
4 - +2
4,3 - +2
D+1 - -22
D+3 - -21
D+4 - +3
B+2 - +2
This is great. So now we know for sure that 4, 43, d4, and b2 are the best RH pressure strings on block. Thanks a lot for finding all this stuff out for us Somberness. This will help sure up a lot of the holes in my rain pressure game.

So Rain actually is +frames on some of his RH cancels. :D
