Speak for yourself, I always love to see quality matches, and if they can get Curb there, it'll be great to see how players adapt to him.

Top 8 arenas aren't something that should be done too often (in all honesty, the best thing to do is to do a "top 16 arena" consisting of the top 16 placers over multiple events, but that's not possible at this time), but it promotes the game here - the attention is solely on the Fighting Games and not the other MLG stuff which is great - and keeps up momentum.

You're only choosing EVO because Slips said he'd show you where to find the hoors lol :p
But I think most people would agree with you that EVO is still the "end all, be all" of FG tournaments.

It's going to be hard for MLG to organize an event during the Spring because during EVO season, there is almost a major every single week. Sometimes it's just unavoidable so they can't be faulted for it being the same week as ECT4. If they did it the following week, then it'd be the same weekend as CEO. After that week is Midwest Championships.

If they wanted to hold it in June, when else would they hold it? The very next week after Midwest Championships which would be the week before EVO? That would force people to make a huge choice for those who would only be able to attend one event: MLG or EVO.

Again, sometimes it's just unavoidable.

Am I reading this right that all of the top 8 from MLG Columbus get a free trip out for this one? If so that is awesome, let's say CDjr wins both the main event and the top 8 in a few months he'll have made $12,000 from Columbus, $3,000 from top8 event and about $6,000 from MLG Anaheim.

9.95 any word if you will be back to commentate this one?

Guys, MLG is doing everything they can to co-exist and work with the community run FG tournaments... Anaheim was just scheduled in advance so it's something we have to deal with, but they are trying to schedule around FGC events for the future.
