I was watching REO and CDJR on the main stage when the crowd erupted from the babality and I was told there was video taken of this.

LOL...seriously Curbo must be the real deal. From my knowledge PL went 3-0 against Riu48 and Riu gave Reo a run, so in theory PL isn't that bad, but at the moment isn't a match for the CD bros and Curbolicious!

I don't think online is that bad if you have a good connection to your opponent. The biggest thing for online warriors I think is getting over nerves with a bunch of people staring at you play. It's totally different from sitting in your living room in your boxers with a bag of cheetos next to you.

He played Curbo in casuals before he played him in tournament, actually.

This isn't a case of oh if your online you will do well. Online players couldnt just come here and do what he did. Curbo did this is because he is way ahead of every1 that ONLY plays online. He is jutst ahead of every1 else online. Curbo and I run games all the time and I always told him he would do great. I always questioned how he would do with tournament nerves because I could tell he had skills but man I was the most impressed with how collected he was.

I played every1 from the 360 and PSN side and he is the toughest guy to fight by a wide margin. I knew he was going to make noise at this tournament. If he picked Jax after the first loss vs REO who woulda known what was going to happen.

This is so true. It's a totally different experience with a bunch of people around you, yelling at you or for you, and all the pressure to perform. The only way to learn how to deal with it is to expose yourself to it as much as possible.

I wanna say three things real quick:

1.) How do you get babied by Cage using Kabal? Oh right, by being Overrated Legend. ;)

2.) CURBO is my hero even though I babied him (which should make me the grandpa of PL) xD

3.) Hey bro, maybe your style of zone-only Kabal would've worked months ago back at EVO-Devastation time period. Maybe you should invest on a hitbox?

It's okay though guys, he won EVO!

Riu48 didn't even use his best character Sonya against PL so that's the main reason he lost. I'll bet a $100 with anyone Riu48 will body the #swag out of PL in a rematch FT3 with Riu48 using Sonya.

Riu48 didn't even use his best character Sonya against PL so that's the main reason he lost. I'll bet a $100 with anyone Riu48 will body the #swag out of PL in a rematch FT3 with Riu48 using Sonya.

Why the hell wouldn't Riu48 use Sonya to begin with? That's on him, no one else. You're right though, he won EVO and he will remain EVO champ until this years. Good luck!

Apparently better than his actual match, but Curbo was also using Jax for whatever reason and PL actually found out that Kabal can crouch F4 1 in the same way a low hitbox character can, then stand up and punish with 2 1 into combo.

It kind of makes you wonder how many other characters can do this if it's not limited to low hitboxes.
