He wants to run monthly tourneys for SFxT, SC5, UMVC3, SF4 AE 2012 and if he gets enough interest, Mortal Kombat. So you guys need to get on there and post that you want MK at these monthlies. DO IT NOW

March 31st

Most of them are 2D fighters who like to shit on MK. Some of them are cool however.

You not kidding bout that,they love to bad mouth MK and why I do not know

Because it's not as easy to pick up as UMVC3 or SF4. MK9, to me, seems like a throw back to the old fighting games wherein you actually have to learn the game IE the match ups , the ends and outs of your character, how to defend against certain things. The most experienced and knowledgeable player almost always wins in this game. Unlike in SF4 or Marvel where you have this stupid comeback mechanic and just need to know general rules of thumb to fight against characters. A vast majority of gamers today are lazy and don't want to put time and effort into getting "good" at a fighting game, which is why KOF13 and MK9 will never be as popular as the aforementioned games.

Dude I wish people would understand that but sadly they don't prime example is that Auto combo stuff in SFxT if that ain't lazy I don't what is, I cringe at that mechanic of the game.

P.S Is anybody doing any MK Casual at there House/Apt. in the near future,would like to actually meet some of the MK players in Georgia and level up my Liu-Kang

The GA FGC FACEBOOK group is a pure embarrassment to our state. Batman created a better one you should join

I think Lord Ice Man is obnoxious, bias and isnt a leader of our scene in any way

yall be aware, the tournament Smithspot is promoting requires you to play in all three games mentioned, so if you aren't down for playing SFxT and Marvel as well, i don't suggest going. there's a separate tournament here on the same exact day that will feature MK if people bring set-ups that's still in the Atlanta area.

As long as Gwinnett Brawl being going on I haven't heard anyway MK players bring set-ups,mostly likely becasue they're lazy and stuff.Beside F3 are going have set-ups for MK................


Oh and another thing the F3 "Iron Man"Tournament is a Point System tournament and this is how it goes:. You are giving
points according to what place you come in for each game. The point system is as follows:
1st-100pts, 2nd-90pts, 3rd-80pts, 4th-70pts, 5th-60pts, 6th place and under-50pts.
The player with the most points after all 3 games will be the winner.

@ Pig of the Hut...The tournament will not be streamed. 90% of our setups are on HDTV's via HDMIs. I haven't seen any good, yet affordable streaming equipment that uses HDMI connections.

@ Beeneeweenes...Thanks for pointing that out sir. As Beeneeweens and Shaolin 19 pointed out, every player entered for the F3 tournament must compete in all 3 games to have a chance to win. The F3 tournament point system will separate the real fighters from the fake ones that claim to be a fighter, but are only good at one game .

I am still undecided about attending as I do not play those other games. If I do attend I can bring my streaming equipment to stream the event though.
