I admire anyone who is super passionate about a game or franchise (or anything really), but when you stan them (or it) too hard to the point to where you’re incapable of having rational opinions or arguments (or being able to engage with either), and are unable to criticize them whatsoever, and think they can do no wrong, that goes beyond passion into an unhealthy obsession and delusion

They had a few anime parts, including a few anime Arcade mode endings, but ever since Tekken 7 they started to take more and more anime elements, and now Tekken 8 is basically a CG anime IP. All of the stolen story parts from Dragon Ball, Naruto and Bleach, and the use of the power of friendship vs. raw power (Naruto, and it's also in Arcade Quest in the same vein as the Pokemon anime) and characters wanna fight other strong characters because they are interested in power and make decisions based on that alone (DBZ). All of these elements were not in Tekken before, even with the anime-like Arcade endings, but now they are.
.....

This is the series with the boxing kangaroo, where one of the main characters used the power of the devil to win fights. It's been this way from the beginning.

Look, isn't society always talking about how people "ignore the signs" and "don't speak up" enough when red flags are all over the place?

REAL TALK, this dude is clearly and obviously mentally unwell with a deep parasocial attachment to fandoms. The comparison to Chrischan is genuine because the behavior is almost identical. Even the parroting of things back at people is clearly mirroring. Every slight or criticism is taken as a personal attack against him and any, even obvious, nuance in someone's opinion that involves criticism is taken as absolute negativity.

This isn't differences of opinion...this is people with differences of opinion conversing with someone that is probably doing damage to their own mental state due to a genuine inability to conceptualize outside opinions.

Delusion, as you put it, is entirely accurate. This is delusional, obsessive behavior. I was not joking when I said this is how Gamestop employees get maced. The comparison is apt. Dude needs help and probably needs to be offline. Honestly, the only thing keeping him from being a full blown lolcow spiraling into total self-destructive insanity is that he doesn't have a larger platform that's been noticed by the sort of people that feed lolcows. All the signs are there.

Either what he says is not serious and is a troll (unlikely)...or he means it and it's obvious this is the behavior of someone that needs supervision in their life.

These are western cartoon elements, not anime elements. Not the same thing. Tekken was a cartoony-like series, and even then it still had somewhat of a serious story. Even in Tekken 6 when the story started to go downhill with the whole WW3 thing, at least the vibe was still there. But T7 is where they started to change the vibe into an anime-like series, again with all the examples I mentioned earlier.

Boxing kangaroos and dinosaurs and using devil powers are not stuff that are anime-only.

It's like arguing with a wall, really.

Although, I think I'd get more from the wall.
